Aryna Sabalenka has caused a stir on social media with her new dress that she’s set to wear at the US Open
Belarusian tennis star Aryna Sabalenka has rocked the tennis world by debuting a racy outfit ahead of the US Open.
The 28-year-old is the world No. 1 and is looking to claim the title at Flushing Meadows for a third consecutive year. As the reigning champion of New York, Sabalenka was always going to cause a scene with her latest fit.
Taking to Instagram, her post showed her dramatically transform from her orange vest and black shorts into a bold orange bodysuit cloaked with a black netted dress. She captioned the post: “It’s game time @nike. See you soon @usopen.” The response from fans was typically adoring as hundreds of posters shared love heart emojis under the star’s post.

One fan said: “You Look Fashionably Ferocious, ARYNA! You’ll Turn Heads and Win Slams!! So Bold! So Beautiful! So Breathtaking!!” Another added: “Ok now I need that outfit now. Can I please get a sponsorship Nike!”
The WTA themselves even commented: “Obsessed”, but it wasn’t all favourable, mind. “Nike has officially lost its fashion game,” said one disgruntled supporter. Another said: “Nike went too far on the other end of the scale.”
Sabalenka hasn’t enjoyed the strongest season. She was beaten by Naomi Osaka at Wimbledon in the fourth round this summer, which marked her earliest exit at a Grand Slam since the 2022 French Open.
Afterwards, she candidly opened up about her recent struggles. “I didn’t play my best, and she played probably her best. Sometimes that happens,” Sabalenka said. “Sometimes you can go out there and do everything you can and still lose the match.
“Obviously, I’m not happy with the way I played. She overpowered me. I felt like it was an incredible level from her. With every game we would play, I would feel worse, she would feel better. She would just go for her shots freely. I wouldn’t.”
Asked what her emotions were, Sabalenka said: “No emotions. Just know that I can handle myself much better than last year. Obviously, guys, if you were expecting something really fun, not going to happen.
“Probably just going to be short answers. I f****d it up this year. Next year I’ll try to do better. I just want to go and get completely drunk, forget about tennis, and try to get in better shape.”
Ahead of the main US Open, the Belarusian will pair up with Novak Djokovic in the mixed doubles. Other duos competing include Elena Rybakina and Taylor Fritz, and Mirra Andreeva with Andrey Rublev.
This year, the US Open mixed doubles will take place from Monday, August 24 to Wednesday, August 26 in what’s now known as ‘Fan Week’. The men’s and women’s singles will run from Sunday, August 30, through Sunday, September 13.
