Liverpool are still in the market for new signings this summer, with PSG winger Bradley Barcola a top target for the Reds – but the French club are reportedly holding out for a huge £128m fee
Liverpool will be eager to speed up their transfer business as the new Premier League campaign approaches rapidly. The Reds are scheduled to take on Monaco in a pre-season fixture at Anfield this weekend, having just concluded their tour of the United States.
The Anfield outfit finally secured new signing Victor Munoz this week, following his earlier summer switch from Osasuna. The Spanish winger and Jeremy Jacquet remain the sole new arrivals to the squad, with Liverpool clearly requiring additional reinforcements.
Significant focus has been placed on the club’s chase for PSG winger Bradley Barcola, with the European champions allegedly demanding a jaw-dropping sum, while a World Cup star has allegedly reached agreement on a switch to Paris.

PSG are allegedly standing firm on an astronomical £128million price tag for Barcola this summer, as reported by L’Equipe. The enormous valuation is believed to be the main obstacle preventing a deal with Liverpool from materialising.
It’s understood that the Reds would rather shell out in the region of £103m for the winger, with Barcola reportedly open to the switch, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The BBC suggest Liverpool are ready to reassess their stance and up their offer in a bid to get the deal over the line, while L’Equipe reports that, despite the two clubs being “very far apart”, the transfer is expected to be finalised before the window closes.
Ferran Torres agrees to transfer
Barcelona ace Ferran Torres has reportedly agreed to join PSG this summer, a move that could potentially clear the path for Barcola to seal a switch to Liverpool.
The Spanish World Cup winner is thought to be mulling over his future while on holiday following his heroics at the tournament this summer. Spanish publication Sport has reported that Torres has given the green light to PSG manager Luis Enrique for a move.
The forward hasn’t exactly been coy about his desire to depart Barca in recent interviews: “In the world of football, you never know,” was Torres’ cryptic response when quizzed about a potential summer exit from the Catalan giants.
