Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by Paris Saint-Germain in Gothenburg in their pre-season preparations as Daily Star Sport has a look at their ratings
Manchester United pressed on with their preparations for the new campaign with a stalemate against Paris Saint-Germain in Gothenburg, though the match was overshadowed by fitness worries.
United found themselves trailing within two minutes, as Dro Fernandez delivered a cross for Ibrahim Mbaye to slot home for PSG, but Bryan Mbeumo maintained his impressive form and netted an equaliser following excellent play from Amad.
That proved to be all the goalmouth action, yet Mason Mount had hobbled off during the opening period and Tom Heaton departed shortly after the interval, presenting Michael Carrick with a couple of concerns as his squad jets off to Ireland. Here’s how every United player performed in Gothenburg:

Tom Heaton, 6 – Quick stop from Kvaratskhelia and despite fumbling the initial effort he recovered swiftly to deny the rebound. Sustained an injury early in the second period following a collision with Yoro, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Noussair Mazraoui, 6 – Pulled out of position by Kvaratskhelia within the opening two minutes, leaving the left side vulnerable for a goal. Settled into proceedings thereafter.
Harry Maguire, 8 – One piece of skill to evade Kvaratskhelia drew appreciative sounds from the United supporters and delivered a magnificent pass over the defence to Mbeumo in the second period. Distribution was spot on.
Ayden Heaven, 5 – His most uncertain showing of pre-season thus far. Left exposed by an early delivery for Mbaye’s strike and then presented possession to Kvaratskhelia moments later. A bid to rectify matters led to a clumsy challenge.
Luke Shaw, 7 – Suffered a knock during a challenge but appeared untroubled afterwards, which is encouraging. Handled the PSG attack with relative ease, with most danger coming down the opposite wing.
Andrey Santos, 7 – Appears well-suited to this level with another polished pre-season display. Assured in possession and alert in defensive situations too. Seems nailed-on to feature against Hull.
Mason Mount, 5 – Had been impressive during pre-season but fitness remains a concern, and watching him hobble off during the opening period was deeply troubling.
Amad, 7 – His work-rate has been outstanding across his opening two summer outings and he orchestrated Mbeumo’s strike, dispossessing high up the field before threading the pass to the forward.
Shea Lacey, 7 – Another energetic showing packed with clever moments. Set up a decent opportunity for Mbeumo before the interval and showed willingness to receive possession under pressure.
Patrick Dorgu, 7 – An animated performance down the left flank including one exceptional piece of skill during the opening half. End product still requires refinement though.
Bryan Mbeumo, 8 – Began tentatively but once he found his rhythm, he burst into life. Finished his goal superbly, tested the target with two set-pieces and compelled Safonov into two additional stops. Appeared extremely menacing.
Tyler Fletcher, 7 – Swift replacement for the injured Mount and appeared assured in the middle of the park.
Diogo Dalot, 6 – An understated 45 minutes but seemed more solid than Mazraoui.
Leny Yoro, 6 – Entered at half-time replacing Heaven and despite clashing with Heaton, he appeared dependable and made his case.
Dermot Mee, 6 – A surprise appearance following Heaton’s injury.
Harry Amass, 5 – Came on for another brief stint but delivered two subpar crosses.
Youri Tielemans, 7 – One sharp pass to Fernandes was noteworthy.
Bruno Fernandes, 6 – Received a massive cheer upon his introduction but is still adjusting.
Jack Fletcher, 6 – Once again featured on the right wing.
Joshua Zirkzee, 5 – Suffered a hit from Safonov then squandered a good opportunity.
