Prince Harry has reportedly described himself as a ‘stay-at-home dad’ after returning to the UK – and it’s not gone down well with some royal fans
Prince Harry has reportedly given himself a new four-word title – and it’s triggered outrage amongst some royal supporters.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed their relocation back to the UK earlier this month, accompanied by their children, Archie and Lilibet. They arrived in Birmingham last Wednesday (August 26) aboard a private airplane from California.
It’s understood Meghan and Harry will set up in the Cotswolds, registering their youngsters at local schools. It has also been reported that Meghan may pursue acting opportunities, having stepped away from the screen career in 2017 before she and Harry tied the knot.
Now, Harry is believed to have offered a glimpse into what his future lifestyle will entail. He will be a “stay-at-home dad,” according to The Times .
During a public appearance on rugby star Joe Marler’s podcast, Joe Marler Will See You Now, Harry characterised his role as “full-time dad”.
And indications that Harry’s homecoming to the UK will be a domestic venture have infuriated some Royal enthusiasts, reports News24 in Australia.
One wrote on X: “‘Staying at home dad’? You still have nannies, housekeepers, chefs and gardeners. The kids are at school until mid-afternoon. Watching Archie play rugby once a week does not make you a stay-at-home dad. That’s not how it works, hun.
“Haz a stay home dad—- no F****** way…” said another. However, other supporters have highlighted that Harry will undoubtedly carry on his charitable endeavours with the Invictus Games for war veterans.
He is also the founder of Travalyst and serves as an ambassador for WellChild and Scotty’s Little Soldiers, among others.
Little else is known about what life in Britain will hold for the family. Harry and Meghan officially stepped back from Royal duties when they relocated to the US, and it’s not anticipated they’ll return to formal engagements.
They’ve also not specified whether their move across the Atlantic is a permanent arrangement, or a temporary sojourn as was the case with Montecito.
