‘I attempted Stacey Solomon’s £24 haircare hero – right here’s my sincere verdict’

OPINION: I tried Stacey Solomon’s £24 REHAB Hair Moisturiser to see if the leave-in cream could tame frizz, boost shine and leave my locks looking smoother

When a haircare product promises to tackle frizz, boost shine and leave your locks looking salon-fresh, it’s hard not to be tempted. And when there’s a celebrity connection, it’s even harder to resist giving it a try.

Stacey Solomon is an investor and official business partner in REHAB, a female-founded beauty brand with an eco-conscious approach to hair, body and skincare. One product that caught my eye was its £24 Hair Moisturiser, a leave-in cream designed to hydrate dry strands, smooth flyaways and leave hair looking glossy without weighing it down.

But with plenty of products promising to transform lacklustre locks, I wanted to find out what this one had to offer. The formula uses ceramide technology to help strengthen the hair barrier and smooth the cuticle. It also contains an 11-amino-acid complex intended to improve elasticity, alongside a blend of nourishing plant oils to help tame flyaways and restore shine.

It’s suitable for all hair types, so whether your hair is naturally frizzy, feeling a little dry or simply in need of some extra TLC, it could be one to consider.

Using it is straightforward, too. REHAB recommends working a grape-sized amount through freshly washed, damp hair if you have fine or short locks, while those with longer or thicker hair can use two grape-sized amounts.

The key is not to go overboard – nobody wants their attempt at glossy hair to leave them looking like they’ve dunked their head in the oil jar.

REHAB says its clinical testing found increased moisture content in 100% of tested hair tresses after a single application, alongside 5.5% more shine and a 36.5% reduction in frizz.

Those are the brand’s own reported results rather than a guarantee of what everyone will experience, but they certainly make some tempting promises.

Of course, the real question is whether I’d spend £24 on it again. I was impressed by how lightweight the cream felt, and I loved the idea of giving my hair an extra moisture boost without weighing it down. It’s a handy addition to a haircare routine if you’re looking to tackle dryness and get smoother-looking locks, although the results will depend on your hair type.

The Hair Moisturiser isn’t the only product in REHAB’s range, either. The brand also sells a heat protection spray for anyone who regularly reaches for their straighteners or curling wand.

Make-up fans can also browse its Beach Glow Blush Stick for a fresh-looking flush of colour, while an SPF lip oil offers a glossy finish with added sun protection.

Overall, REHAB’s Hair Moisturiser makes some appealing promises for anyone hoping to get dry, frizzy hair looking smoother and shinier. At £24, it’s not the cheapest product on the bathroom shelf, so whether it’s worth the money comes down to how well it works for your hair.

REHAB Hair Moisturiser costs £24 and is available from rehabyourhair.com.
