Emily Webb, a 25-year-old TikTok star, claims she was asked to leave a popular beachside bar after turning up in a plunging pink top and denim micro skirt
A glam influencer claims she was kicked out of a beachside bar over her ‘revealing outfit’ after staff had already served her a drink. Emily Webb, an adult star and TikTok creator based on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, says she was asked to leave the sought-after Burleigh Pavilion restaurant.
The 25-year-old filmed herself moments after the incident, turning the camera to show the plunging pink top and denim micro skirt she was wearing.
Emily claimed she and her pal were initially cleared by security at the door and allowed into the venue. Once inside, she says they went to the bar, ordered drinks, and paid.
After the bar staff had already poured the drinks, venue management reportedly stepped in to enforce their “smart casual” dress code standards.
Emily recalled: “And we’d just paid for a drink, and they wouldn’t let us drink our drink. And they gave us a refund for our drink.
“That’s how serious it was.” Management refused to let them stay or finish their beverages, the Daily Mail reported.
Taking to her TikTok account, @emwebbily, using the caption “Banned from the Burleigh Pav”, the influencer shared a video showing her outfit.
The content creator’s video sparked heated debate, as a TikTok user commented: “The fact that security let you in should’ve been enough. I’m actually really confused as to why you guys would get kicked out of there.
“Also that’s how people dress all the time. It’s not unusual to see those outfits at bars.”
But others had little sympathy. One asked: ‘What did u expect wearing that?’
“You’re wearing practically nothing. Dress codes are a thing,’ another wrote.
The official dress code at Burleigh Pavilion’s two venues, The Pav and The Tropic, is “smart casual” – and the rules are far more strictly enforced at night or during peak busy periods, according to The Tropic.
The venue says staff may be more flexible in quieter daytime hours, but warns entry can be refused if you don’t meet the standard.
The venue lists a range of outfits that can get you turned away. That includes singlets or overly casual tank tops, thongs (flip-flops) and flimsy sandals, ripped or dirty clothing, hard-capped shoes or work boots, plus sports team or club tops and athletic jerseys.
Fancy dress and themed costumes are also banned.
