‘Trolls say my baby daughter’s name sounds like a stripper – but I love it’

It’s always hard figuring out what to call your child, with many parents wondering if people will like it.

And one mum received quite the shocking response after she asked people on the internet if they liked her daughter’s name.

Taking to Facebook, the mum revealed she ‘loved’ her tot’s unique name.

However, many wrote back to tell her they thought it sounded like a ‘stripper’s name’.

In the post, the mum wrote: “Ok so I named my daughter Tempress Storm… Please be honest.



One mum asked people what they thought of her daughter’s name

“I love it and I’ll be happy to explain how I came up with it if needed.”

People were left gobsmacked the name, with many wondering how the mum came up with it.”

Many took to the comment comments section to ask her why exactly she settled on that name for her child.

Many in particular couldn’t understand how she came up with Tempress, as they asked her if it was a misspelling.

One person probed: “Was it supposed to be temptress or tempest? Or neither?

The mum responded: “Neither. It started out as Tempesta, which is the Italian word for Storm…



Many were baffled by the name choice

“But I think that’s a wrestler’s name so I wasn’t having that. So I combined that with princess. And made Tempress.”

Despite the explanation behind the meaning her daughter’s name, many people weren’t convinced and slated the mum for picking a ‘stripper name.’

One wrote: “Well temptress is kind of a sexual name for a kid.”

The mum responded: But it’s not Temptress.”

Another person jibed: “Tempress sounds like temptress which just sounds like a stripper name. Big yikes.”

“That is horrible. I can’t decide if it sounds like a stripper name or the name of an evil villain in a movie,” added a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Sounds like a stripper.”

“Poor kid,” commented a fifth.

The comments come after another mum recently hit headlines after people said her baby’s name sounded like a ‘disease’.
