Woman turns to affairs following pathetic Valentine’s – and tells others to do same

Valentine’s Day can be an overrated day for many people.

The expectations to deliver the best day possible is sometimes too much for couples to handle.

Now one woman who’s so over love day is encouraging other females to start affairs behind their partner’s back.

Emma, 45, knew the aftermath of last year’s Valentine’s was the final straw so she began cheating on her husband.

After meeting her lover on IllicitEncounters, the UK’s leading affairs website, she hasn’t looked back since.

And 12 months on, Emma, from Essex. has left her husband and encourages other women to do the same.

She was left disappointed by the Valentine’s Day

She said: “Telling my husband about my affair was a major spark resulting in ending things for good.

“I wanted to be honest in the end. I signed up to IllicitEncounters on a whim literally the day after Valentine’s last year.

“Although I kept it all discreet for around 8 months, it started to get harder and harder to keep it from him.

“I actually wanted him to find out so I could just get on with it and speed things up by the end.

“I just came out with it one night over dinner, told my husband what had been going on and I wanted to leave him.”

Emma started to seek affairs after she realised one day she deserved better.

Valentine’s Day can often be overrate d

She added: “It’s not that hard to put in a bit of effort, like doing something special for Valentine’s Day or anniversaries.

“He couldn’t manage that – and last year there was nothing. That was the trigger to leave.”

While the sex between Emma and her now ex-husband didn’t get any bad, it just became less frequent.

They’d go months without getting jiggy between the sheets, something Emma found hard to come to terms with.

Now discussing the intimacy in her affair, she added: “He’s so into me and compliments my body.

“The sex totally wasn’t the only thing I loved about him, I do really believe he is better suited to me and my interests.

“It’s reassuring that those first few exciting months of sneaking around where the sex was great, is still the same now.”

She began her affair a day after Valentine’s Day

Emma is now recommending other women to have affairs if they’re stuck in a rut.

She explained: “I think us women can too often settle with partners who don’t treat us right and that needs to change.

“It’s scary having an affair and even scarier breaking things off with your husband but you’ve got to be brave.

“For me, Valentine’s last year was that final hurdle, my breaking point.

“I think there’ll be a lot of women out there feeling this same this week. I say, know your worth.”
