Bride and groom blasted for placing £82 wedding order at McDonald’s drive-thru

A bride and a groom left people divided when they showed up at a McDonald’s drive-thru and ordered £82 worth of food.

Video taken by an employee working at the fast food chain in the US shows the chaotic scenes in the kitchen.

Robert shows the screen at the till as he tells the newlyweds: “That will be a total of $97.43 (£82).”

While the couple are waiting in their car, Robert and his colleague start making the big order for the pair, as well as some of their guests.

McDonald’s worker Robert had to take a huge order from drive-thru counter

“This is story time when we had to make an order for a wedding actually, the couple decided, I guess, they just wanted McDonalds,” he said.

“But anyway, there isn’t anything wrong with that.”

The huge order includes seven double cheese burgers, five McChicken burgers, 34 pieces of chicken nuggets, fries and Dr Pepper drinks.

He then shows his colleague making the double cheese burgers and McChicken simultaneously.

He said the bride and groom asked for 15 burgers and nuggets for their wedding guests

“Get out of the way!” one yelled at him.

Robert added: “This is us making food and it’s a lot of work – and this is everything that bagged up.”

The team at McDonald’s managed to complete the order and delivered it to the groom and bride.

Viewers shared their thoughts and said the couple should not have ordered at a drive-thru counter.

“I’m sorry in a drive-thru? That’s a full cater order,” one wrote and another commented: “At least phone in advance if you are going to order THAT much.”

Others said they realised the reason why their burgers weren’t “lined up” sometimes.

“Now I see why my burgers are always sideways and super messy,” a McDonald’s fan said.

A fellow McDonald’s worker said: “I’d rather walk out of that kitchen in that instance.”

“I hate being in the kitchen while working on holidays,” another complained.
