Reality TV star who had steamy shower sex targets professional return to racing

Racing driver-turned-reality TV star Sebastian Melrose is eyeing a return to motorsport after starring in season four of Netflix show Too Hot To Handle.

Melrose is the godson of three-time Indy-500 winner Dario Franchitti and last raced in 2021, featuring in the Ginetta GT4 Supercup. And following his stint on reality TV, the 24-year-old is hoping to get back racing soon.

“I am trying to sort out a few deals – I really want to get back into racing cars,” he told the Sun. “I’ve had a few chats with touring car, so we will see where that takes us.

“I’m not going to talk for anyone, everyone is on their own journey. For me, specifically, for what I can now provide to sponsors and teams is something that other drivers can’t.

“I am still a quick driver. I can still peddle a car. So not only will they get someone who has the ability to get on the podium, they also get someone who can market their sponsors.

“When it came to the crunch of chasing my dream in racing or going on a reality TV show, I thought I could actually combine the two. Thankfully, it paid off.”

Melrose finished runner-up on Too Hot To Handle with partner Kayla Richart, with the pair notably breaking the rules by having sex in the shower. As a result, Richart revealed in an interview with the Metro that she asked her family not to watch the show.

“So I came home and I was like, ‘literally nobody watch the show. I’m glad you guys are all proud of me. Don’t watch the show’,” she said.

“Because I didn’t know how they would cut or show our ‘sex scene’ but they actually showed it in a really good way and they didn’t really show that much, which was like a sigh of relief for me.”
