‘Just like Josie Gibson my son sleeps in my mattress – he is the one man in my life’

A mum has revealed she sleeps in mattress alongside her son – identical to I’m A Celebrity star Josie Gibson.

Natalie Rushton, 38, who’s mum to, Dylan, 9, has shared a mattress with him since he was born. She says he is the ‘solely man in her life’

Despite encouraging her son to enter his personal room at age 4, Dylan has continued to choose to share along with his mum. This comes off the again of This Morning presenter Josie’s latest revelation that her five-year-old son, Reggie, nonetheless sleeps in her mattress and “will be until he is 18”.

Whilst single-mum Natalie backs Josie normalising co-sleeping, she “fully accepts” Dylan won’t need to do the identical. Natalie, a receptionist from Lytham St Annes, Blackpool, mentioned: “Dylan has all the time shared a mattress with me as a result of it is all the time simply been us two. Natalie, a mum-of-one, says she encouraged her son to sleep in his own bed when starting school in 2018, however he chose not to. “Since we have had our little dwelling, Dylan has all the time had his personal room,” she said. “When he began college, I used to be fearful that he may get picked on by the opposite youngsters for sharing a mattress along with his mum, however he hasn’t.

“I think children don’t really care about these things as much as the adults in my life who seem to have an opinion. Natalie said the other mums at school have been nothing but supportive, but that she ‘wouldn’t really care if they weren’t’.

The mum says Dylan will ‘occasionally’ start off in his room, but then he’ll jump in with her in the middle of the night. “Being a single mum is tough; you are attempting to do the job of each mother and father, so I really feel grateful for a way shut we’re,” she said. “What type of mum or dad would not need to be shut with their little one?

“He’s the only child I’ll ever have, and I want to make the very most of these years because kids grow up so fast. I’m not actively looking for a partner, but if I were to have a man in my life, I’d be totally open with the co-sleeping situation. I’m not afraid of what they’d think and they’d have to be okay with it because Dylan is my life.

TV presenter Josie, 38, told OK Magazine again in September that son Reggie, 5, sleeps in mattress along with her each nigh. Josie separated from Reggie’s dad simply three month’s after she gave beginning in 2018. As a solo mum or dad, Josie says her and her son share a close-knit bond.
