‘Trolls name us Satan worshippers – however tattoos do not imply we’ll go to hell’

While tattoos have become mainstream, they’re not for everyone.

People who have taken body ink to the extreme say they’re often met with discrimination. And some even claim they’ve faced accusations of being Satanic – just because they’ve modified their bodies.

Despite having horns screwed into their head or ‘prison style’ crucifixes etched onto their skin, this bunch of tattoo-obsessives are proof not to judge a book by its cover.

Here, we take a look at those who are branded ‘devil worshippers’ or are told to ‘go to hell’ just because of their penchant for inkings – including a dominatrix and Britain’s most tattooed mum.

Mistress Valentina

Valentina might dress up as a sexy devil, but she’s no devil worshipper!

Valentina, or Mistress Valentina to fans, is a dominatrix with quite the tattoo collection. The Brighton-based sex worker admitted to splashing out £120,000 on her body ink that covers the entirety of her back – and even her bottom.

Since her mid-to-late teens, Valentina has been familiar with the ink-gun and has built up quite the collection – including a piece to cover a surgery scar on her vagina.

However, as her collection has progressed, the dark-haired beauty has been cruelly labelled a “devil worshipping maniac.”

But ‘scared’ of all things dark and gruesome, Valentina says that couldn’t be further from the truth.

Speaking to Daily Star about the prejudice she faces, she said: “It’s the automatic assumption I’m some devil worshipping maniac because I’ve got tattoos.

She’s coughed up a lot of cash for her tattoos

“With the tattoos the best thing to do is just to be nice to everyone you come into contact with and change their mind. If you’ve got tattoos it’s on you to change people’s minds on tattooed people.

“I’ve got a face tattoo and people walking down the street don’t blink at it.

“It’s very clearly there but people don’t get freaked out by it but it’s not ‘normal’ still, it’s not that acceptable for women to walk around like this.”

Mattia Muratori

Despite having the Sigil of Lucifer penned across his forehead, which led people to accuse him of being a being a Satanist, Mattia Muratori denies all associations to the devil.

The tattoo and body modification fanatic, who calls himself the London Demon, has always been fascinated with demons – hence his extreme transformation.

From inked eyeballs to five-inch devil horns and even a split fork-like tongue, the 28-year-old made it his mission to mimic the hell dwelling creature.

Mattia calls himself a ‘demon’, but he’s no Satanist!

Although he’s inspired by the appearance of demons, the Italian-born bloke ensures that his look is of “spiritual nature” and “connected with the spiritual good things.”

Previously speaking to Daily Star, Mattia the non-Satanist demon lookalike explained: “It’s funny because I’ve heard a couple of times people whispering to each other saying ‘look it’s the London Demon, he comes around this place sometimes’.

“I’ve been interested and curious and demonology and curious looks and since I was a kid I always asked myself whether a person could achieve such a look.”

Melissa Sloan

‘Britain’s most tattooed mum’ Melissa Sloan frequently faces backlash for her 800+ ink collection that she’s mainly amassed from her partner etching her at home.

The 46-year-old Welsh parent has been socially ostracised, which she puts down to her extreme appearance – that includes three layers of face ink.

Despite the unemployed mum-of-seven having been a Christian since a hospital bed-side prayer was answered, Melissa is often told she’ll “go to hell” because of her heavily inked body.

Some even think that “Jesus won’t accept” Melissa because she’s a “sinner”, but that hasn’t shaken her faith so does not plan to “burn” in the hellscape like some nasty trolls have predicted.

She exclusively told us: “I get messages saying I’ll go to hell when I pass because they say Jesus won’t accept me for what I look like – because I’m a sinner.

“People online say I’ll go to hell and burn. I just think they’re off their rockers, I’m open arms me.

“Jesus would love me, he loves everyone. We’re all God’s children apparently.”

Keith Gordon

Keith Gordon – or the self-proclaimed ‘coolest looking guy in Essex’ – has spent over £20,000 on his tattoo collection. However, not everyone is so fond of the dad’s appearance.

The bloke has always loved the alternative style and was inspired by the mods and rockers when he was younger.

A rebel at heart, Keith has a penchant for anything ‘sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll’ themed – so loves to stand out of the crowd.

Keith is called the ‘devil’ on the street

Though, that means the crowd are not too fond of Keith. In an interview with Daily Star’s ‘My Colourful Life’ video series, Keith shared how he is stopped on the street and labelled a ‘devil’.

“I remember one woman, she used to walk past me where I used to live and she didn’t like the way I looked,” Keith explained before he demonstrated how she used to position her fingers into crucifix shape and hold them up to him.

He continued: “She used to put the cross up when she was with her young boy and she would say ‘devil’. I used to say ‘Satan’s going to get you’.

Keith
Good job he’s able to laugh it off!

“And her little boy said to her ‘mum don’t say nothing’.” But, that wasn’t the only time where Keith had been mistaken for something other than human.

He recalled that on one trip to the tattoo parlour, a bloke in the street heckled him – good job Keith found it ‘funny’.

Keith shared: “I was on the way to get my face tattooed, funnily enough, some guy came out of a shop and said ‘you look like the devil’ and then he just went back into the shop next door.

“I don’t know what that was all about. It made my laugh, I didn’t find it offensive at all.”
