Dua Lipa commits ‘soccer’s final sin’ after stealing the present from the group
Dua Lipa was the star of the show on Sunday evening as she watched Argentina’s Superclasico from the stands – but fans are adamant she committed ‘football’s ultimate sin’
Dua Lipa committed “football’s ultimate sin” on Sunday evening as she toured South America.
The pop princess was in attendance at La Bombonera while stopping in the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires during the latest leg of her Radical Optimism tour.
The English songstress had sold out River Plate‘s Estadio Monumental before making the journey to bitter rivals Boca Juniors to watch the Superclasico on Sunday evening. However, Dua “committed football’s ultimate sin,” according to fans as she posed with both jerseys.
She first posed with the Boca jersey – alongside club icon Juan Roman Riquelme: “Dua Lipa alongside Román, fascinated with these colors,” they said in a post.
In another video of Dua arriving, she can be heard commenting: “Me, I love the energy, the people are perfect.”
However, River responded to their bitter rivals with their own photo of Dua with jersey – this time holding the iconic red sash.
“But she never wore it, and she walked with the one from Boca,” one fan joked. While a second said: “The photo with Riquelme is better!”
And another added: “She can’t wear both!”
Dua’s allegiances were split for the clash – and she opted to watch the game while wearing a Argentine national team jersey. And she stole the show as the camera could barely focus on the action.
Dua is known to support two football teams – Liverpool and Arsenal.
Growing up in London, she confirmed Arsenal are her dad’s team, but Liverpool hold a special place after she performed ahead of their 2018 Champions League final with Real Madrid.
“I’m an honorary Liverpool supporter.
“My dad and brother support Arsenal so I’d be getting in a lot of trouble if I said I just support Liverpool,” she said.
“But I love Liverpool – its always got a special place in my heart.”
