Woman Katie Fox who died after horror Birmingham stabbing pictured as household in ‘shock’
A woman who died after a horror stabbing in Birmingham on Friday night has now been pictured for the first time.
The 34-year-old victim, Katie Fox, was taken to hospital with a serious injury to her neck after being stabbed on Smallbrook Queensway shortly before 9pm. She has since tragically died in hospital.
Katie Fox has now been identified and pictured, as tributes pour in online. Her family are said to have been too upset speak at her childhood home in Northfield, Birmingham, this afternoon, reports Mail. A family friend, who did not give her name, said: “It’s too soon to talk I’m afraid. They are all in total shock. It’s horrible.”

Neighbours have described Katie as a “nice girl” who moved into the semi-detached house when she was a teenager, while the family are reported to be in the process of selling the property and moving to Devon.
One neighbour said: “They’ve lived there for 20-odd years, Katie was a teenager when they arrived. She was a nice girl. I heard there had been an incident in the city centre but can’t believe she has died. It’s a tragedy. She didn’t live in the family home, I think she had a flat in Longbridge.”
Djeison Rafael, 21, has been charged with murder in relation to the incident and has been remanded. He appeared at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court this morning, where he is said to have interrupted the hearing six times.
The 21-year-old, of Rosedale Avenue in Smethwick, is also charged with two counts of causing actual bodily harm on October 27 and November 7, possession of a Stanley blade on November 7, and assaulting a detention escort officer on November 8.
The defendant was told he was not going to be asked to enter any pleas because the offences are too serious to be dealt with by the magistrates’ court.
District Judge Bristow told Rafael: “I’m going to send you and your charges to the crown court on November 12.”
