Damage and snuffing out the blaze

The fire involved an electrical consumer unit at the stadium ground and spread to an adjacent portacabin and outside storage area.

About 60% of the portacabin was damaged by the blaze, along with electrical cupboards and electrical intake.

Several tools were used to extinguish the blaze, including six sets of breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets, one safety jet, hydraulic rescue equipment, two positive pressure ventilation fans and three thermal imaging cameras, a statement from the fire service read.
