Republican claims Trump’s Epstein investigation is hiding a far greater bombshell: Live updates

Republican Representative Thomas Massie called Donald Trump‘s efforts to investigate Jeffrey Epstein‘s connections to top Democrats a ‘smokescreen,’ as his victims call on Congress to release the files.
In an interview with ABC News on Sunday, Massie slammed the president for ordering the FBI to probe the disgraced financier’s connections to Democrats, including Bill Clinton, over the weekend.
‘If they have ongoing investigations in certain areas, those documents can’t be released,’ he said.
‘So this might be a big smokescreen, these investigations, to open a bunch of them as a last-ditch effort to prevent the release of the Epstein files.’
The House is speeding towards a vote this week on releasing files related to the Epstein sex trafficking investigation.
Five Epstein survivors released a video message Sunday night calling on Congress to release the files.
‘It’s time to bring the secrets out of the shadows, it’s time to shine a light into the darkness,’ one survivor said.
