Wimbledon star stuns in see-through prime dubbed ‘neatest thing since maple syrup’

Eugenie Bouchard bid farewell to the tennis court back in July, but fans of the sports star have been left floored as she continues to flaunt her lavish fashion on social media

A former Wimbledon star has left fans speechless after she donned a racy see-through top in her latest snap. It comes after she officially retired from the tennis court earlier this year.

Eugenie Bouchard stepped back from the sport back in July after competing in the National Bank Open in Montreal. In her final tennis match, Canadian star Eugenie was left in tears as she bowed out of the sport as she admitted she was “lucky” to have such a lengthy career.

Throughout her career, Eugenie, 31, has bowled over fans with her luscious lifestyle, whilst also impressing on the court. The highlight of her time as tennis player came in 2014 when she reached the Wimbledon final, only to lose in straight sets at the last hurdle.

However, since her decision to leave tennis behind, fans have been loving her luxurious way of life as she finds new passions to indulge in. And fans were left stunned when she hit the town in a racy see-through top in New York City a few days ago, according to the Sun.

Taking to her Instagram account, the former No.5 — and previously dubbed the “world’s sexiest tennis player” — sported a lacy crimson see-through mesh top that hugged her figure and accentuates the upper half of her body. In one snap, she was beaming with smiles as she toasted the camera with an espresso martini as she sat down for a tasty meal.

Fans immediately flooded the comment section with messages of love and support for the former tennis superstar, as one fan joked: “Best thing to come out of Canada since maple syrup.” Others branded her “insanely beautiful”, “iconic” and “superb” as they fawned over her glam look.

Alongside the two photos she shared of her night in the Big Apple, she also shared a short video of her living it up in the city with her pals. The move comes after she gave an emotional farewell to her former sporting livelihood.

Before she made a lightning-fast comeback in July, Eugenie had last played a professional tennis match all the way back in May of 2024. Her last competitive match was even further back as she tried to bag herself a Grand Slam in the US Open back in August 2023.

Her final public match left her in tears as she lost to Belinda Bencic in the second round of the competition in July. With a tough 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 result, Eugenie was left sobbing as she addressed the crowd for the final time in her farewell speech.

Speaking to spectators, Eugenie eventually broke down as she said: “Tennis has given me so much, I am filled with so much gratitude for this sport and for the people who helped me along the way.” She went on to thank her family and friends for their “sacrifice and support” as she whimpered, whilst getting a rapturous applause from the audience.

“It’s only because of that that I’m standing here today,” she balled, “I want you guys to know that when this crowd cheers for me, they’re cheering for you guys too because I wouldn’t be here without you.” She added: “I was able to live out my dreams and — how lucky am I to live out my dreams, so thank you.”
