JD Vance informed ‘do higher’ after turkey rant and Kid Rock submit following Washington DC capturing

Vice President JD Vance went on a bizarre rant about turkey, just moments after addressing the tragic shooting that took place in Washington DC this afternoon

JD Vance launched a weird rant about turkey, moments after acknowledging the horror shooting that took place in Washington DC on Wednesday.

The US Vice President delivered a Thanksgiving address to troops at Fort Campbell, Kentucky while pandemonium unfolded back in the nation’s capital. Following his remarks on the incident – which left two National Guard soldiers in critical condition – Vance began a peculiar diatribe about Thanksgiving cuisine.

He said to his audience, “Who really likes – be honest with yourself – who really likes Turkey?” then responded to their cheers by declaring: “You are all full of s**t. Everybody who raised your hands… Turkey doesn’t actually taste that good… Chicken is good all the time.”

During the same address, Vance called upon “everybody who’s a person of faith” to pray for the two National Guardsmen who were shot, reports the Irish Star.

“I think it’s a sombre reminder that soldiers, whether they’re active duty, reserve or National Guard, our soldiers are the sword and the shield of the United States of America,” he said.

Musician and Trump supporter Kid Rock was with the VP, taking the podium and addressing members of the military as news of the shooting broke. Vance was slammed on social media for posting from his visit to Fort Campbell, including a livestreamed clip featuring musician Kid Rock chatting with military personnel.

One person commented on the X post: “Two guard members were just shot and had no way to defend themselves and you are posting about Kid Rock do better.”

One X user remarked: “You’re just celebrating Thanksgiving like nothing happened. Oh, a quick mention for ‘prayers’…but then it’s right back to celebrating,” whilst another responded: “Kid f—–g rock … for f–k sake what a bunch of unserious people… seriously? ?”.

Following Wednesday’s shooting, senior law enforcement sources said the suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, according to both CBS and NBC.

Reports said the FBI were treating the incident as a possible act of terrorism.

Lakanwal allegedly entered the US during the withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021 under Joe Biden’s Operation Allies Welcome, sources told The New York Post.

President Donald Trump said of the shooting: “No country can tolerate such a risk to our very survival. The suspect in custody is a foreigner who entered our country from Afghanistan, a hell hole on earth.”

He added: “This heinous assault was an act of evil, an act of hatred and an act of terror. It was a crime against our entire nation. It was a crime against humanity… This attack underscores the single greatest national security threat facing our nation.”
