WARNING, GRAPHIC CONTENT: A man was left with a ‘very bad injury’ after being smashed in the face with a pool cue in a brutal pub brawl in Livingston, Scotland

Man attacked with pool cue inside Livingston pub
CCTV footage has captured the shocking moment a man was savagely assaulted with a pool cue inside a Livingston pub. The terrifying incident, which occurred at the Tower Bar in Craigshill on November, 8 reportedly left the staff deeply upset.
The video shows a group of men enjoying a game of pool before the situation suddenly turns violent. A man in a green top is seen stepping away from the pool table when another man, dressed in red, violently swings a pool cue at his head.
As the cue strikes his skull, the victim collapses to the floor while the attacker nonchalantly discards the cue. The assailant is then seen looming over the fallen victim, uttering words that are not audible in the footage.
He then exits the premises, leaving other patrons in shock, reports the Daily Record. While the current state of the victim remains unknown, graphic images circulating on social media depict him with a bandaged head, a bruised and bloodied face, and a severe cut to his eyelid.
The attacker has since been banned from the establishment. The management team at the Tower Bar are cooperating with police investigations.
Frank McAlister, the pub owner, told the Record: “This was an unfortunate incident involving two people who we know well and of whom neither have ever been in any trouble before.
“There was a disagreement in the heat of the moment before any of our team could act. A pool cue was swung and hit the side of another customer’s face leading to very bad injury. This was upsetting for everyone who witnessed it.
“The Tower Bar is a fantastic community pub and we do not ever condone behaviour of this kind, we are working with the police to help in any way we can. Our entire premises is covered by CCTV and this has been passed to the police.”
Police Scotland could not provide a comment.
