- Britain is facing the threat of a massive 13-inch (34cm) snowfall next month, with the worst conditions expected to hit in the run-up to Christmas. The snow is forecast to affect the entire country, from the southern coast to the Scottish Highlands
- The heaviest flurries are predicted to begin on December 10, sweeping across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Blizzards are expected to persist for several days, impacting daily life and travel
- Areas particularly at risk include the West Midlands, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, Lancashire, Warwickshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, and Herefordshire. Southern regions such as Hampshire, Sussex, Devon, Dorset, Cornwall, and Greater London are also in the firing line
- By December 13, snow depth could reach up to 34cm in Scotland, while southern England may see around 1cm of accumulation. These projections highlight the potential for significant disruption in affected regions
