Emma Raducanu’s web price dwarfed by world’s richest cricketer who by no means performed within the Ashes
Emma Raducanu has built up a huge net worth during her short but impressive career but it pales in comparison to that of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar
At the tender age of 23, Emma Raducanu has already carved out a place for herself as one of the most beloved sports personalities in the UK and beyond.
Her prowess on the tennis court, coupled with her charming personality and social media savvy, have endeared her to fans worldwide. In addition to her popularity, Raducanu has also amassed an impressive fortune during her brief stint at the pinnacle of professional sport.
Earlier this year, it was disclosed that the tennis sensation is worth a cool £13.5million, following her company, Harbour 6, raking in a tidy profit of £5million last year. Through Harbour 6, which manages her sporting and commercial earnings, she’s been pocketing a whopping £100,000 per week.
The accounts reveal total assets amounting to £13.5million, with bills of £1.5million and corporation tax of £1.2million.
When Raducanu first established the company five years ago, it held a mere £44 in its inaugural trading year. However, thanks to lucrative deals with big-name brands like Nike, Porsche, Evian, Dior, Tiffany’s, Vodafone and British Airways, she’s significantly boosted her wealth.
Yet, her staggering net worth seems modest when compared to cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar. Owing to his brilliance on the pitch and astute decisions off it, he’s managed to amass an incredible fortune since calling it a day.
Through endorsements, brand collaborations and savvy business ventures, Tendulkar boasts an eye-watering net worth of £127million ($170m).
Consequently, the superstar has amassed a net worth exceeding Raducanu’s by more than tenfold, highlighting just how much wealth the Indian athlete has accumulated.
Nevertheless, Raducanu is only 23 and her future potential remains boundless, both on and off the court. She won’t reach her sporting prime for several years yet, and with that anticipated improvement at elite level comes increased prize money alongside her commercial endeavours away from tennis.
Industry expert Nigel Currie commented on Raducanu and her representatives: “Emma and her management team are clearly very smart.
“They have capitalised on her amazing US Open victory in 2021, when she was just 18. Sponsors are always on the lookout for high profile female athletes.
“Looks and physique are also important, while outgoing personalities do well with media engagements and sponsorship contracts. She has all of those qualities in abundance. That said, she has so far failed to rediscover the form that took her to her Grand Slam triumph.”
