Queen Camilla’s bee-sting facialist reveals how mystic predicted ‘particular’ job
EXCLUSIVE: Deborah Mitchell has long been the facialist for the royal family, boasting a ‘lovely relationship’ with Queen Camilla. But, how did she get such a job – well, it’s all down to a medium
The woman behind many preened faces of the Royal Family revealed how she managed to secure the coveted gig – and it’s all thanks to a medium.
Deborah Mitchell is the facialist and groomer of the most prestigious faces of the United Kingdom. The founder of Heaven Skincare was most notably awarded the Royal Warrant by Queen Camilla for her services and treatments – including the A-Lister favourite ‘Bee Sting Facial.’
However, Deborah didn’t start slathering the venom of bees over Queen Camilla’s face out of nowhere, nor did she build her multi-million pound skincare line out of thin air.
The Shropshire-native trained at college in her teens, where she would secure a national degree to officially start concocting ‘anti-aging’ skincare.
Deborah then became a mobile beauty-therapist at the age of 18.
Fuelled by ambition and a love developing products to help others feel like their best selves, she eventually created her own natural skincare line from her kitchen table.
Since Deborah self-funded and founded Heaven Skincare in 1991, she’s gone on to serve as the long-time facialist to Queen Camilla, groomed the faces of other Royal Family members and has even got her paws on Simon Cowell.
Her origin story isn’t anything out of the ordinary, but Deborah believes that a bit of magic aided her relentless work ethic to get the royal stamp of approval – quite literally.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Deborah revealed how a medium ‘predicted’ her career. She said: “When my son was born – he’s 27 now – I was told by a medium that an emblem would be put on my product that was ‘really good’ and I might even do a treatment on Camilla.
“The medium told me what would happen to my business, that I’d do really well.
“I was told that I would be given an emblem and I would be on the grass of Clarence House, I’d give Camilla a basket of products and I might even do a treatment on her.
“It was years before I did my first treatment on Camilla and I kept on thinking ‘when is this going to happen.’
“When it did, it was a surreal moment really. It still took 20 years to get the emblem and that’s for for all my products and treatments.”
Deborah was honoured with the Royal Warrant by Queen Camilla in 2024 after treating her with organic bee venom and collagen facials for 19 years.
Queen Camilla was actually the first to try Heaven’s Bee Venom Mask, which is said to provide an ‘instant’ lift to the face, after Deborah invented it a few years into treating her.
While Deborah has indeed tended to the faces of other royals, she’s sworn to ‘secrecy’ regarding her important clientele.
However, the founder of Heaven skincare is proud to boast a “lovely relationship” with Queen Camilla – despite initially thinking that she’d be a one-off client after their first meeting in 2006.
Deborah continued: “When I first treated her, I thought it might be a one off.
“I didn’t expect it to be 20 years and a really lovely relationship.
“I got a phone call and was asked to go to the palace. So I did a treatment on somebody first to check that I was good and she [Queen Camilla] then wanted me to go to the palace.
“It felt like it was right. Like I was supposed to go there.”
Well, the medium wasn’t wrong.
