Dramatic second heavily-armed police in camouflage gear storm a road in Sydney in a thriller tactical operation – simply days after Bondi assault
Heavily-armed tactical officers dressed in head-to-toe camouflage were seen arresting a group of males in southwest Sydney.
Images showed several officers standing over the group of five men at the intersection of George and Campbell streets, in Liverpool, at about 5pm on Thursday.
It’s understood Counter Terrorism, NSW Police Public Order and Riot Squad officers were in attendance.
‘A police operation is underway on George Street, Liverpool,’ NSW Police said in a statement.
‘There is no ongoing risk to the community.
‘Further information will be available later today.’
A pair of 4WDs at the scene appeared to have crashed into the front of a white hatchback.
Stunned witnesses reported seeing a police LandCruiser ram a white Hyundai with Victorian number plates, which was carrying the men.
