Princess Beatrice ‘to snub’ Andrew Windsor this Christmas as Eugenie faces comparable dilemma

Princess Beatrice has reportedly chosen a third option rather than spend Christmas with dad Andrew or take up the invitation from King Charles to enjoy the festive period at Sandringham

Princess Beatrice is reportedly set to snub her dad Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor this Christmas. Beatrice and her sister Eugenie have been facing a dilemma over where to spend the festive period after Andrew was stripped of his titles following his involvement with Jeffery Epstein.

King Charles had reportedly invited the two sisters to his Sandringham estate for Christmas – raising questions over where the sisters should be as they navigate a difficult situation with their parents.

Dad Andrew is spending one final Christmas at Royal Lodge before he has to move out, while Sarah Ferguson is also largely shut out from the public-facing Royal family.

One insider had described the awkward situation as a ‘tug-of-love’ – with the dilemma thought to be especially intense for Princess Beatrice.

Now she has reportedly decided to defuse the situation by spending Christmas on a skiing holiday with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and friends.

That’s according to The Sun, which reports that the Princess, 37, has declined invitations to both Sandringham and Royal Lodge to “embarrassment”.

“Beatrice doesn’t want to cause any embarrassment and was torn between loyalty to the King and her parents,” a source told the outlet.

“She didn’t want it to look like they were snubbing anyone so it was easier to go off with friends.”

Younger sister Eugenie, 35, faces a similar dilemma and could also avoid her parents over Christmas. She is expected to spend the holiday with husband Jack Brooksbank.

Both princesses attended the Royal Family’s early Christmas party at Buckingham Palace last Tuesday without their parents. The Sun also reports that for the first time in 20 years, Andrew has not put up any Christmas decorations outside Royal Lodge.

A photo of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor appeared in the newly released Epstein files, which the Justice Department released on Friday (December 19).

The image appears to show Andrew laughing while laying over five people, whose faces have been redacted, with only legs now appearing visible. Ghislaine Maxwell is also seen grinning as the photo is being taken.

Many notable figures have been named or pictured in the Epstein files, but that does not imply any wrongdoing.

Andrew once had a relationship with Jeffrey Epstein that began in the late 1990s. Epstein also attended at parties at Windsor Castle and Sandringham.

His connection to Epstein led to allegations from Virginia Giuffre, who claimed she was trafficked by Epstein and had sexual relations with the former royal.

Andrew has always and continues to “vigorously deny” the accusations made against him.
