Dad brutally overwhelmed after household minimize in line for Disneyland trip
A trip to Disneyland turned to horror for a dad and his daughter after he accused another family of queue jumping, sparking a savage beatdown that had bystanders fearing for his life
A dad’s trip to Disneyland with his teenage daughter took a detour to the emergency room after he confronted another family, accusing them of trying to skip the line for the Indiana Jones ride.
His complaint triggered a shockingly violent response. Appalled onlookers were left fearing for the father’s life as his alleged assailant rained down punches on him for about a minute while he cowered on the ground.
“I thought the guy was going to die,” said a witness on a Reddit thread about the incident. “It was incredibly traumatising, and the dude who assaulted the man ran off.”
The savage attack happened at Anaheim amusement park in California on Tuesday, according to the victim’s devastated family.
The dad, who hasn’t been publicly identified, needed several stitches and was left covered in bruises, his relatives explained in a Reddit thread.
Mayhem erupted just before 1 pm when the alleged attacker flew into a fury when he and his family were accused of trying to jump the queue, reports the New York Post.
Shocked witnesses said the attacker, who was wearing light-green sweatpants, battered the father for about a minute as he lay defenceless on the ground.
“It was incredibly traumatising, and the dude who assaulted the man ran off,” a witness told the Reddit post.
The dad “was covered in blood on his face and Disney staff closed the line and sent staff to scrub blood off the floor in multiple spots.” “I thought the guy was going to die,” the witness added.
The victim’s daughter was heard screaming “stop hitting my dad” during the attack, the onlookers said.
But a teen, who identified herself as the victim’s daughter, later posted a picture with her dad on Reddit, showing them smiling at the park despite the large bandage on the man’s head.
“Hey guys just letting you know this is me and my dad! He got stitches and is perfectly okay,” she wrote.
It wasn’t immediately clear if police had managed to nab the attacker, said The Post. The newspaper contacted local cops and Disneyland but has heard nothing back.
The violence follows a shocking incident near Disneyland Paris, where a mother was taken into custody after allegedly assaulting her six-year-old son for spilling a drink.
The mum, 43, is accusing of slamming the kid’s head against a fold-down table attached to the seat in front before pulling his hair and strangling him.
