Putin ally mocks UK over ‘sending 007 and his Bond girls’ to avoid wasting Greenland from Trump

One of Putin’s outspoken allies has mocked Britain by claiming the Sir Keir Starmer sent 007 as his one member of a defence force to protect Greenland.

The comment comes after Europe sent a 30-strong force to the world’s largest island as US President Donald Trump continues his plans to takeover the NATO territory, possibly by force.

Pro-Kremlin mouthpiece Dmitry Rogozin questioned whether the single British officer sent to Greenland was 007 agent James Bond.

“If I were Trump, I wouldn’t just be offended — I’d be insulted,” said Rogozin, a close Putin ally and war fanatic.

“Against Vladimir Putin and Russia, it seems, they need to gather 15,000 rifles, armour, artillery, budgets, summits, a ‘coalition of the willing’ plus 33 folders of resolutions.

“But against Trump and the US — just 30 people. THIRTY. They couldn’t even scrape together 40, apparently it was too embarrassing.

“And it’s not even known if they’re men or women.…”

It showed that Europe believed Trump was “500 times weaker than Putin” and that the US leader will “chicken out in front of these 30 Spartans.

“By the way, Britain decided not to skimp and contributed to the defence of Greenland. For every two Norwegians and 13 Germans, they’re sending one [1 person] Brit.

“One. Without replacements. Without reinforcements. Probably with a thermos and a sense of duty. Or maybe it’s James Bond and his girls? 29 girls to keep Bond warm in Greenland. One for every February day/night.

“In short, it’s a shame for Trump. And a joy for Bond.”

The force was announced as comprising 15 French, 13 Germanys, two from Norway and a sold UK representative.

Rogozin, 62, is a Russian senator illegally appointed by Putin to represent part of occupied Ukraine.

He is a former deputy prime minister, ex-head of the Russian Space Agency, and was once the Kremlin’s representative at NATO headquarters in Brussels.

Earlier, Rogozin warned that Trump’s real motive in owning Greenland is to station intercontinental missiles under the ice – which will lead to “the beginning of the end of the world”.

“This is the problem: the US, led by an eccentric, may convince themselves that, finally, thanks to the annexation of Greenland and the deployment there of components of the command and control system for strategic offensive weapons, they have achieved nuclear superiority over Russia and China.

“This will be the beginning of the end of the world.”
