Pet mother and father may win £200 voucher for meals or medication by sharing cat and canine photographs

Pet retailer Animed has launched a competition where owners can share a story and picture of how their furry friend has put a smile on their face for a chance to win a £200 voucher.

Blue Monday, dubbed the ‘most depressing day of the year’, may have passed, but plenty of people could still be feeling down in the dumps. There’s one brilliant way to inject some cheer back into your life though – by celebrating your beloved pets and the sheer joy they bring.

Pet retailer Animed has kicked off a fantastic competition where owners can submit a heartwarming story and snap of how their four-legged companion has brightened their day, with the chance to bag a £200 voucher. The contest is open to all UK residents aged 18 and over, and entering couldn’t be easier.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for pet parents to showcase just how much their furry friends mean to them, whilst potentially scooping up some lovely treats and toys as a reward, reports the Daily Record. All pet owners need to do is pop over to Animed’s website and complete the form before January 25 – though you can only submit one entry per person.

There’s no need to make a purchase to take part, but pet owners must give Animed the green light to use their submitted stories and photos across its own platforms. The lucky winner will be notified by January 31, with the £200 voucher valid for six months for online purchases only.

For those unfamiliar with Animed, the company stocks everything from medications and specialist diets to top-quality toys and accessories. According to the brand, every single product is carefully selected by experts and all prescriptions are verified by a qualified veterinarian.

Moreover, for ultimate convenience, everything arrives directly at pet owners’ doorsteps. The retailer doesn’t limit itself to just cats and dogs either, stocking products for horses, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, ferrets, birds and exotic pets as well.

The website states there’s complimentary delivery for UK Mainland orders worth £49 and above, with canine products ranging from budget treats under £1 to premium dry and wet food options. Take the Natures Menu Freeze Dried Meat Bites Dog Treats Lamb (15g) at £0.95 or the Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Expert Neutered Large Breed Dry Dog Food (12kg) priced at £58.99.

For feline friends, there are bargains like the Felix Crispies Salmon And Trout Cat Treats (45g) currently reduced to £0.84 from £1.05. The top-selling Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Urinary S/O Dry Cat Food (7kg) is also available for £55.99.

Alternatively, pet parents might consider Pooch and Mutt. This company claims its food is veterinarian-endorsed, crafted with natural ingredients, and formulated for ‘all breeds and needs’, plus customers can secure 25% off through subscriptions.

Another choice for dog owners is Pure Pet Food, which provides natural, wholesome dog food requiring only water to create a nourishing meal. The company is presently offering 30% off customers’ first box and 10% off their subsequent order.

Turning our attention back to Animed, the company has bagged an ‘Excellent’ rating on Trustpilot from over 350,000 reviews, with a whopping 90% earning five stars. One delighted customer raved: “This is my third delivery now and each time I truly cannot fault them.

“Each time the delivery has turned up earlier than expected, this time round it was due the Fri but arrived Tues in the nick of time as I’d run out that day due to ordering it late by mistake. Every delivery is always well packaged and complete.

They continued: “Will 100% be sticking with you now for my cats meds he needs to be on for the rest of his life. Thank you for such an amazing service.”

Another satisfied shopper commented: “A good price, very easy to use, I always check their website and it’s very comparable. Great delivery just as they said. Very pleased all round.”

However, not all feedback was entirely glowing, with one customer noting: “Great for ordering and reasonably prompt delivery. Subscriptions service seems unwieldy and very difficult to change delivery/amount of product without just cancelling a delivery.”

But by and large, punters were chuffed with the service. Another happy customer declared: “Brilliant service as always. Quick delivery Thank you.”
