Ryanair jet carrying Brits to Ibiza is compelled to reverse on runway after drunk passenger causes ‘chaos’ earlier than take-off
A Ryanair plane carrying Britons to Ibiza from Madrid was forced to reverse on the runway after a drunk passenger caused ‘chaos’ onboard.
The evening flight on February 12 was delayed by two hours, the Majorca Daily Bulletin reported, after a young man refused to listen to the instructions of the cabin crew.
Shocking footage taken on the plane showed the apparently drunk man shouting at fellow passengers.
Several members of the cabin crew were seen trying to calm him down, while someone who appeared to be another passenger also intervened.
But the drunk man could be heard hitting different parts of the cabin as his anger grew.
A passenger said: ‘We were boarding and already saw the young man making a scene, talking loudly on the phone, shouting, and everyone was watching him’.
Despite being explicitly told to turn off his phone, he continued to be belligerent and use his mobile device.
The passenger said: ‘He kept using his phone, and then they reprimanded him. The plane had to stop, attendants approached him, he took off his seatbelt, until a fellow passenger told him enough was enough.

‘It was chaotic,’ the source added.
Tensions were running so high on the plane that Spanish police were called to remove the man from the plane.
The Daily Mail has contacted Ryanair for comment.
It comes just months after an intoxicated British Ryanair passenger had to be wrestled by police after refusing to sit down for landing – forcing the pilot to circle the airport.
The chaos unfolded on a flight from Kraków to Bristol on November 11, 2025.
Footage filmed by fellow passenger Kacper Bujak shows the man swearing, arguing with cabin crew and fighting security staff as they tried to restrain him.
At one point, he even turns to Bujak and sticks his middle finger up at him.
The row escalates as the man grows increasingly irate, branding the officers ‘scumbags’ and ‘bang out of order’ as they cuff him.

Bujak said the same man had caused havoc on a previous flight the Sunday before, drinking heavily, swearing and behaving inappropriately towards a young woman seated nearby.
He also disrupted border control upon arrival in Kraków.
On the return journey, the man initially appeared calmer, even greeting Bujak saying, ‘Do you remember me?’ But after drinking on board, his behaviour quickly spiralled.
Passengers pleaded with him to quieten down because children were on the flight, sparking further arguments.
Near landing, he refused repeated orders to sit, forcing the pilot to abandon the approach.
‘The man was loud most of the time,’ Bujak said. ‘As soon as he had a drink, he started his mischief and acting up.’
The video ends as passengers disembark, but Bujak said police spent more than an hour removing the man, delaying the aircraft’s next scheduled departure back to Kraków.
