‘Reform present whose facet its on with energy seize for unhealthy bosses and rogue landlords’

Reform’s latest plans to axe rights for workers and tenants is yet another warning of how much misery Nigel Farage and his lackeys would inflict if they ever get the keys to No10

Reform UK’s pretence that it stands for ordinary people has been exposed as hollow once again – and millions would be left counting the cost.

Multi-millionaire Richard Tice showed whose side he is really on as he pledged to scrap improved rights for workers and tenants.

It is yet another warning of how much misery Nigel Farage and his lackeys would inflict if they ever get the keys to No10.

Reform’s business spokesman claims his plans would lower bills and bring down inflation. But in reality, he’s plotting to take power from ordinary people, and to hand it back to bad bosses and rogue landlords.

In his sights? Sick pay, parental leave, protection from unfair dismissal, bereavement leave, flexible working, guaranteed working hours for people on precarious contracts.

Labour’s Employment Rights Act enshrines these protections in law. But Mr Tice, a former property tycoon, thinks these things don’t matter.

Are you a renter? Bad luck. Reform wants to scrap the Renters Rights Act, which will end no fault evictions, restrict rent rises and order landlords to ensure homes are of a decent standard.

Instead, working families would remain at the mercy of unscrupulous landlords, forced to live in grim conditions with limited rights.

Mr Tice also wants to target pensions for new local government workers, and instead create a new sovereign wealth fund.

Prospect union said the sums didn’t add up – and his plan would result in a bad deal for workers and the taxpayer.

And then there’s Reform’s long-held opposition to Net Zero, which would put jobs at risk in clean energy as well as causing further damage to the environment.

Reform has gained ground among fed-up voters, playing on people’s fears and frustration at the status quo. But their ideas show they don’t have any answers.

Mr Tice made it clear that his party is coming for your rights at work and at home, stripping away protections while making pie in the sky promises.

People should have the right to be treated fairly at work. Why does Reform want to take that away, unless it cares more about big business than ordinary workers?

Renters deserve to live in decent conditions, without the fear of being turfed out at a moment’s notice. Why does Reform want to take that away unless it is more interested in enriching landlords than working families?

Anyone thinking about voting Reform may need to ask themselves, can I afford it?
