Major nightclub blaze sees 10 hearth engines battle flames as clubgoers ‘heartbroken’

Horror scenes of a major nightclub blaze in Lancashire have left clubgoers “absolutely heartbroken” as ten fire crews battle to save the “iconic venue”.

The blaze broke out Park Hall Nightclub in Charnock Richard last night (April 7) at 9:21pm as fans fear the venue “seems completely destroyed”.

A massive emergency services response was called to the scene that saw ten fire engines and two aerial ladder platforms from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS).

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 21:21, 10 fire engines and two aerial ladder platforms from across Lancashire attended a derelict building fire on Park Hall Road, Charnock Richard.

“The fire has been put out and crews remain on the scene to dampen any remaining pockets of fire.

“Overnight, the number of fire engines on the scene will be scaled back, and an investigation will take place in the morning.”

Many nightclub goers took to social media after being ‘gutted’ upon hearing about the incident, reports LancsLive.
