Donald Trump’s frantic three-word response after Melania’s sudden Epstein TV deal with

Donald Trump has admitted he had no prior knowledge of Melania Trump’s White House address, in which the First Lady flatly denied she was ever Jeffrey Epstein’s victim

Donald Trump was reportedly left blindsided after Melania made a shock TV appearance to address her links to Jeffrey Epstein. The US President is said to have had no idea his wife was about to go public to shut down rumours regarding the disgraced financier.

When questioned by a reporter about the First Lady‘s sudden statement before it aired, a stunned Trump issued a frantic three-word response, claiming he “didn’t know anything” about the broadcast. Trump is said to have made the confession to MS Now during a phone call that he ended in a hurry.

Before cutting the line, he reportedly doubled down on the defence, adding, “she didn’t know [Epstein]” before abruptly hanging up.

The drama unfolded just moments after Melania took to the Cross Hall of the White House for an unannounced address to the nation.

During the broadcast, she fired back at long-standing speculation, categorically denying she had ever been targeted by the paedophile billionaire. She also shot down claims that Epstein played any role in introducing her to her husband.

She said: “I am not Epstein’s victim. Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump. I met my husband by chance at a New York City party in 1998.”

Her announcement took Washington by surprise. No fresh reports or revelations connecting Melania to Epstein had surfaced in the days leading up to her speech, leaving the timing unexplained.

She characterised her interactions with Epstein as casual – limited to the social circles she and Trump moved in across New York and Florida in the early 2000s.

She dated their initial encounter back to 2000, long before his conduct became public knowledge in 2005. An email linking her to Ghislaine Maxwell had appeared in Justice Department documents, but Melania denied it indicated any significant ties to the British socialite.

Throughout the speech she maintained focus on her prepared remarks. Upon concluding her statement she immediately withdrew from the lectern, offering no chance for questions.

Melania informed the gathered audience that manipulated photos and fabricated allegations linking her to Epstein had been spreading across the internet for years, urging the public to treat such material with scepticism.

She said: “These images and stories are completely false. I’m not a witness or unnamed witness in connection with any of Epstein’s crimes.

“The false smears about me from mean-spirited and politically motivated individuals and entities looking to cause damage to my good name to gain financially and climb politically must stop.”

She revealed her legal representatives had successfully contested numerous allegations and would continue to do so.

The most surprising aspect of the statement occurred when Melania shifted focus to Epstein’s victims, insisting that Congress establish an official forum for survivors to testify.

She said: “I call on Congress to provide the women who have been victimised by Epstein with a public hearing specifically centred around the survivors.”

She highlighted that Epstein functioned with help from accomplices, and that the scandal had ended the careers of several prominent figures across business and public spheres.

Their resignations didn’t prove guilt, she noted – but the complete story, she maintained, remained untold. She added: “We still must work openly and transparently to uncover the truth.”
