A close Putin ally is demanding Russia target the home addresses of leading Western politicians for missile strikes as punishment for backing Ukraine.
Former deputy premier and Russian space agency chief Dmitry Rogozin claimed a list of four British targets and others across Europe was insufficient.
Russia this week identified alleged addresses in London, Reading, Leicester and Suffolk for strikes because they were allegedly supplying weaponry permitting Ukraine to strike Vladimir Putin’s territory.
“I don’t want to seem like Captain Obvious to anyone but I believe the list is not complete,” said Rogozin.
“It should start with the work and home addresses of all Western politicians who made the decision to shed Russian blood.
“They are the main military targets, war criminals subject to annihilation.”
Russia has repeatedly accused Britain of supplying missiles or drones used to hit its territory.
Rogizin, a former Russian deputy prime minister, is now a senator for an illegally occupied territory in Ukraine, and commander of a drone unit fighting for the Kremlin.
Separately, he appeared to call for the assassination of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“It’s embarrassing to admit, but I recognise Israel’s tactic of destroying the political and military leadership of the enemy state as unavoidable,” he said.
“We need to start with this.
“If you cut off a rooster’s head, it will run around chaotically for a short while, spreading terror throughout the henhouse.
“The others will grumble, worry for a while, and then start laying eggs again, waiting for us to present them with a new rooster.”
Rogozin did not name the Western leaders he wanted to strike but claimed Kyiv “has unlimited technological and political support” from states including Britain.
“It also has essentially unlimited financial assistance from EU countries and other donors.
“The US are unconditional allies of Zelenskyy, despite the clumsy show put on by Trump and his administration.”
The Putin crony alleged: “The list published by our Ministry of Defence is just the visible part of the iceberg of technological and financial support for Russia’s bitter enemies.”
Rogozin is a former Russian envoy to NATO.
As space agency chief, he was involved in tests on Russia’s largest nuclear missile Sarmat – or Satan-2 .
