Daniel Dubois furiously storms out of interview as boxing star swears at reporter

British boxing star Daniel Dubois stormed out of an interview an x-rated remark after he grew bored of the line of questioning

Daniel Dubois slammed a reporter with some x-rated language before storming out of his pre-fight interview.

Dubois is set to clash Fabio Wardley for the WBO heavyweight title in Manchester on Saturday night (May 9). However, he took issue with a line of questioning during a sit down interview with DAZN just a handful of days ahead of the bout.

During the interview, Dubois was asked: “What’s your least favourite thing [about fighting]?” However, the British boxing star had clearly grown sick of the questions and said: “Do I need to do this interview? What’s going on? Yeah, let’s cancel it.”

Dubois then stands up and asks: “What’s the next one?” before adding: “He’s taking the p***.” The interview, stunned at the turn of events, replied: “I’m not”

Before Dubois fired back: “You’re taking the f****** p***.” The reporter asked “Why” but didn’t get a response from the heavyweight.

The interview quickly gained traction online as it split boxing fans. One fan joked: “Pointless questions, felt like he was gonna ask his favourite colour next, then how about milk, ya like milk…”

“Questions are repetitive boring questions. I don’t blame him lol,” a second said. As a third replied: “Can’t blame him. Days away from a crucial fight and this guy’s halfheartedly asking him pointless questions…”

And another added: “It’s fight week, the guy is in fight mode. Not every fighter wants to do these little social media interviews while in this mindset, especially Daniel Dubois.”

Wardley’s WBO world title is the on the line on Saturday, with Dubois aiming to become a two-time heavyweight world champion.

Wardley was upgraded to full world champion in November after beating Joseph Parker – when Oleksandr Usyk decided to vacate the belt.
