Arsenal followers go wild in boozy scenes as they pack pubs to have a good time Premier League title

Bournemouth’s draw with Man City sealed Arsenal’s fate as champions, sparking wild scenes in the pubs of North London, where their fans had gathered to celebrate the end of their 22-year title wait

Arsenal’s first Premier League title in 22 years has sparked wild scenes of celebrations across the capital. Joyous fans packed pubs and bars to toast their heroes after Manchester City drew with Bournemouth.

Erling Haaland grabbed a 95th minute equaliser after Junior Kroupi’s opener, but it was not enough to save City’s title hopes and the Gunners were crowned champions of England with a game to spare.

City’s downcast travelling support – which included Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher – could probably hear their boisterous celebrations from the South Coast as thousands of Arsenal fans spilled out into the streets to rejoice.

Emotional fans were seen hugging, chanting and climbing onto tables at the Drayton Park Arms in Islington – in the shadow of their Emirates home – as they celebrated their club’s first league title since the incredible Invincibles season under Arsene Wenger in 2004.

Video taken from inside on boozer saw fans burst into celebration when the full-time whistle went at the Vitality Stadium after a tense 90 minutes.

Arsenal have been admirers of Eli Junior Kroupi – and now you can bet they like him even more. His early goal gave City too much to do to give Pep Guardiola a fairy tale end to his trophy-laden reign.

Instead, it was his former apprentice Arteta who wrote his name into the history books. And now this Arsenal squad will be remembered as legends, the heroes who finally guided the club to glory again.

After three second-placed finishes in a row, the pressure hand cranked up on Arteta and expectant fans had been put through an emotional rollercoaster in recent weeks as City hunted them down in the late stages of the season.

But Arteta has instilled a winning mentality and they managed to grind out results. They have become kings of the set-piece, scoring goals and grappling at corners has become one of their most reliable assets.

And what’s more, they still have the chance to turn their title into a memorable double by winning the Champions League on May 30.

Already club legends, they have a chance to go down in history as the best ever.

If they can finish the other job in Budapest by defeating Paris St-Germain, then they eclipse anything ever achieved in the club’s history and become the Untouchables.
