Cheshire lake seek for teen, 17, ends in sixth UK open water tragedy in days

The sixth open water tragedy in the UK during the May heatwave has sadly been confirmed after Cheshire Constabulary confirmed a body has now been found in search of a missing 17-year-old boy

Police have confirmed the sad news that a body has been found by rescuers searching for a missing teenager who went swimming in open water.

Cheshire Constabulary said specialist divers and helicopters were deployed to the scene during the major search for the 17-year-old boy after he was last seen swimming in Pickmere Lake in Northwich.
