Infamous Scouse gangster killed 9 years after ‘taking pictures outdated buddy and Thai spouse’

Dutchman Pieter Hoovers, 54, and his 32-year-old Thai wife Tae Kawepanya, both died in a gun attack at an apartment in Amsterdam on July 17, 2017

A notorious gangster has been stabbed to death nine years after he allegedly carried out an appalling double murder. Paul Parker, from Liverpool, was killed in a suspected knife and gun fight in a garage in Heerhugowaard, Holland.

Investigators believe the 52-year-old broke into the business premises, which sparked the deadly melee on June 1. Armed police rushed to the scene and two men, 44 and 65, were arrested afterwards in hospital.

Parker was reportedly wanted over the murder of Dutchman Pieter Hoovers, 54, and his 32-year-old Thai wife Tae Kawepanya. The pair died during a gun attack inside an apartment in Amsterdam on July 17, 2017.

Last year, police shared CCTV footage of a “British criminal” suspected to be involved in the crime and offered €20,000 (£17,300) for information. Dutch media has since identified him as Parker.

A photo purported to be several years old and published by the Daily Mail shows Parker on a boat with Mr Hooves, suggesting they were once pals. Mr Hooves relocated to Thailand in the mid-1990s after selling his record label.

A man, who claims to be close friends with Mr Hooves, alleged Parker carried out the double murder.

It read: “Rot in hell scumbag. On Monday the guy who brutally killed my friends Pieter and Tae Hoovers in July 2017 and has been on the run for justice for years got what he deserved. He was shot at close range.”

Parker is understood to have left the UK around 25 years ago. Back 1993, Parker and his brother were jailed for part in the killing of a teenager during a drug deal gone wrong.

Philip Green was just 17 when he left his home in Warrington with £1,000 to buy drugs in Hall Park, Liverpool. He was stabbed in the heart and doctors were not able to save him.

Paul and David Parker were recorded by police discussing their role in the incident. A third unidentified man stabbed the teenager in the heart, Liverpool Crown Court heard.
