‘I visited the posh hotspot the place high DJs flip each sundown into a celebration’
OPINION: Robbie Doherty brought festival vibes to Mogli as partygoers danced all day – but it wasn’t just the DJ that impressed during our visit to the luxury hotspot
If you’re looking for a venue where world-class music meets five-star luxury, this venue is quickly becoming one of the hottest names on the party scene.
Our visit to Mogli coincided with Babylon Marbella’s pool party on Saturday (June 27), where house music sensation Robbie Doherty took over the decks. Still only in his early twenties, the DJ has become one of dance music’s fastest-rising stars thanks to his infectious blend of ’90s house and disco influences, and from the moment he stepped behind the booth it was obvious why.
The crowd had turned out in full force. There wasn’t an empty Balinese bed in sight as glamorous partygoers soaked up the sunshine before dancing well into the evening. Whether people were perched around the pool, dancing beside their sunbeds or cooling off in the water with cocktails in hand, the atmosphere was electric from start to finish.
Unlike some nearby venues that lean into over-the-top extravagance, Mogli has a much more premium feel. Everything feels carefully considered, from the immaculate service to the sophisticated décor. Lavishly dressed in elegant orange and white loungers, stylish cabanas and tropical greenery, the venue strikes the perfect balance between luxury and relaxation. It feels exclusive without ever feeling intimidating, and every guest is treated like a VIP.
While the music may be the headline act, our visit wasn’t just about dancing.
We headed upstairs to Cielo, Mogli’s in-house restaurant, which boasts arguably the best view across the venue. Looking out over the pool, the buzzing crowd and the DJ booth, it’s the ideal place to take everything in while enjoying a more relaxed dining experience before heading back into the action.
The food certainly didn’t disappoint.
To start, the red prawn and scallop croquettes were packed with flavour, boasting a wonderfully crisp exterior before giving way to a rich, indulgent filling. The Wagyu steak proved to be the standout of the afternoon, beautifully cooked and bursting with flavour, showing that the kitchen takes just as much pride in its food as the DJs do in the music.
Alongside the impressive food menu sits an equally extensive cocktail list, but despite trying a selection of drinks, we kept returning to a refreshing frozen mango daiquiri.
As Robbie Doherty’s set gathered pace, the venue shifted up another level. Every corner was filled with glamorous guests who looked as though they could be the next Love Island bombshell, while groups danced from daytime into sunset without the energy ever dropping.
By the end of the set, the energy had spilled across the entire venue, with the pool area at the centre of it all.
It’s this combination that makes Mogli stand out. Yes, the music is exceptional, the food is genuinely impressive and the drinks are first class, but it’s the atmosphere that lingers long after you leave. Premium without pretension, lively without feeling overcrowded and with service that couldn’t have been more attentive, Mogli delivers the complete package.
If you’re searching for somewhere that combines headline DJs, outstanding food and an unforgettable party atmosphere, this luxury hotspot more than lives up to the hype.
