While Erling Haaland has been banging in the World Cup goals with England next in his sights, the Norway superstar’s girlfriend has been attracting attention off the pitch

Erling Haaland’s stunning girlfriend has been raising eyebrows off the pitch as she cheers on her man at the World Cup.
The Norway striker will be hoping to eliminate England, his country of birth, in Miami on Saturday night. Haaland has brought his extraordinary goalscoring prowess with Manchester City to football’s grandest stage, netting seven goals so far, one behind Lionel Messi, including a double in the last-16 victory over Brazil.
Off the field, Haaland enjoys a far more tranquil existence, where he appears content and stable with long-term girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen. The pair welcomed a son in December 2024.

Isabel Haugseng has amassed a large social media following. She has been posting regularly from the World Cup, with her Instagram follower count now standing at 72,000.
One eye-catching reel of her in a Norway shirt, denim skirt and cowboy boots went down particularly well. She has also posted numerous images of herself celebrating with her fella, who has spearheaded Norway’s best-ever World Cup performance.
Haaland himself was amongst those to reply to the post, with the City superstar writing: “Yeeeehaw!” Fans also respoded as one wrote: “She’s lovely! So is Erling,” and another added: “First lady of Norway.”
Another fan commented: “The wag of the world cup,” while another wrote: “So beautiful.” The couple both hail from the same Norwegian town of Bryne, where Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge, made his home following his playing career, which featured stints at City and Leeds United.
They represented the same youth club but it wasn’t until Haaland had relocated to Germany to join Borussia Dortmund that they made contact, with Haugseng Johansen taking the initiative.
“She sent me a message. She played for the same club I played for, Bryne, so she checked me out. I didn’t check her out,” he told NRK with a grin.
“I was single for quite a while. From my experience, you find your girlfriend when you least expect it. If you’re always looking for a girlfriend, you’ll never find one.”
When questioned about what constitutes a romantic evening for the pair, Haaland revealed their mutual interest. He said: “It’s going to be quite embarrassing for her that I say this, but she likes to game too. So we game Minecraft together.
“We just sit and game and make houses together and everything like that. Or we go home to Bryne and order kebabs.”
Haaland will be up against some familiar faces. The Three Lions’ defence could include two current City stars, Marc Guehi and Nico O’Reilly, as well as John Stones, who recently left the Etihad after his contract expired.
