Brown and sticky
I’m being hounded by a local guy. He’s got the wrong end of the stick.
A few weeks ago we had sex – just once – and now he thinks we’re an item. He keeps texting me and suggesting further dates.
He’s posting soppy messages on social media. He’s changed his personal setting to ‘in a relationship’ and has told loads of people that he loves me.
Yes, we did sleep together once after a party, but I’m not his girlfriend and we don’t have any kind of future together. I also slept with two other guys the next weekend and I’m not going out with them either.
Yet this love-struck fool persists in telling everyone that we’re an item. He makes a beeline for me in pubs.
He stands too close; he tells me I smell great and asks if I’m okay.
The other night I met some mates in our local. We were having a laugh when a guy I really DO fancy strolled in. He looked amazing; all toned, brooding and sexy. I almost orgasmed on the spot. Then, however, the moment was ruined by my ‘admirer’ shoving his face in mine asking: “Do you fancy another drink, Babe?” Babe? Since when have I been his Babe?
I lost it, I shoved him away screaming: “Get out of my face” and now he’s hurt and telling people that I’m heartless. Even my oldest friend has told me that I went over the top. I feel like I’m in a bad dream.
Now I’m receiving regular texts and emails from this muppet in which he says he forgives me. He says he’s willing to give ME a second chance to redeem myself. How do you like that?
JANE SAYS: It sounds to me as if this individual is becoming a nuisance. You need to come clean and tell him, once and for all, that you’re very sorry but you’re not an item. Yes, you did enjoy an imitate few hours together, but that was then and this is now.
The fact is that you’re not interested in pursuing a relationship with him and he’s to leave you alone from now on. Sadly, if he still doesn’t get that message – and continues to follow and harass you – then may have to think about reporting him to the police. Clearly the guy likes you and I don’t suppose anyone would knock him for trying, but things are now in danger of going too far.
Tell him that he is under a misapprehension; you don’t fancy him and you aren’t in any kind of union with him. It doesn’t matter how hard he pushes it; you’re not going to cave in and go out with him. But, most of all, you have to make it clear that you will not be intimidated, bullied or worn down. It’s very sad that it’s all come to this, but clearly that one night of love meant a lot more to him than it did to you.
Remember that some people have great difficulty in enjoying sex without forming an emotional attachment.
If it’s possible that you made certain promises in the heat of the moment, then learn from this and tread carefully in future.
Up for fun
I’d been begging my girlfriend for a threesome.
Recently she got drunk and said she was ready to go for it with me and her best mate. But she then pulled out at the very last minute. Should I have sex with her mate anyway for letting me down? She says she knows another girl who’s up for it.
JANE SAYS: Your girlfriend drank too much and started shouting her mouth off. You should have taken it with a large pinch of salt then – and now.
As for sleeping with her mate in revenge? Forget it. If you’re not happy with your girl, then talk to her and work out where you both go from here.
I hate the idea of you putting any kind of pressure on anyone.
