Henry Nowak’s killer ‘terrified’ as violent ‘Monster Mansion’ lags eye him up for ‘beating’
The killer who knifed student Henry Nowak to death is claimed to be “literally shaking” behind bars as some of the UK’s most dangerous lags eye him up for a thrashing. Vickrum Digwa, 23, is locked up in the infamous HMP Frankland, dubbed “Monster Mansion”, where staff are reportedly keeping a round-the-clock watch over concerns he could be attacked.
The high-security fortress in County Durham houses Britain’s most twisted cons, including Sarah Everard’s killer Wayne Couzens, monster Levi Bellfield and Lee Rigby murderer Michael Adebolajo. Insiders say Digwa was petrified from the second he stepped through the gates.
A source told the Daily Mail: “Digwa arrived at Frankland terrified. I mean literally shaking. He was in total fear. There was none of that arrogance you saw on the police camera. I think he thought he wouldn’t survive the first night.”

After a stint in isolation, Digwa has been integrated onto a main wing, but guards are said to be keeping him on a tight leash due to the massive target on his back.
The source added: “He is on a special watch list because of the recent murders in Frankland and he fits into the category of people who are at risk because of the nature of his crime and the fact that he is now a high-profile prisoner.
“There are cons in Frankland who will have a go at him, physically as well as verbally, because of who he is and so they can boast that they were the one who beat the s*** out of him.”

Insiders say the murderer’s visible terror has only made him look like easy prey to the hardline inmates around him.
Former prison governor Vanessa Frake-Harris warned that his notoriety will make his time inside a living nightmare.
She said: “High-profile prisoners like Vickrum Digwa will always be targets. There are many in Frankland with nothing to lose but a lot of credibility to gain. His was a high-profile murder which angered society. This anger may well follow him into HMP Frankland.”

Southampton Crown Court heard how Henry was walking home after a night out on December 3 last year when he crossed paths with the killer.
Digwa, who wore an eight-inch dagger on a chain around his neck, plunged the blade into the helpless student’s chest before striking four more times, stabbing him in the back as Henry desperately tried to sprint for his life.
The coward then attempted to play the victim, claiming he had been racially abused while hiding the fact he had just delivered a fatal blow.

Harrowing police bodycam footage captured Henry’s final moments as he gasped that he couldn’t breathe. Digwa was found guilty of murder and possessing a knife in public before being handed a life sentence.
His mother, Kiran Kaur, was also locked up after grabbing the murder weapon from the scene and stashing it at their family home.
Footage filmed on Digwa’s own phone captured the moment he urged his mum in Punjabi to ditch the blade. The CPS released the video after Kaur was caged last Friday for assisting an offender.
She is currently serving her time at HMP Bronzefield in Surrey, sharing space with serial baby killer Lucy Letby, Constance Marten and Sara Sharif’s murderer Beinash Batool.
