A pampered ‘international’ racing driver is looking for someone to join him on his jet-setting life, drive his swanky Bentley and feed him gourmet snacks, and the mystery motorist is offering a whopping 70 grand a year to do so.

An advert published in the ultra-posh magazine The Lady by the swanky recruitment agency Beauchamp Partners said that the ‘international business man’ required a ‘fit and on the ball’ assistant to offer a wide range of handy services, including washing his ‘designer clothes’ and cooking ‘meals’ and ‘snacks’.

The advert does not reveal who the mysterious man is, but does disclose that he is ‘out there’ and that he ‘races cars’, adding that the London-based bloke is in ‘almost constant travel’.

The advert says: “He is deeply-charming, calm, understanding but very correct and well-mannered’ with a ‘youthful, zest for life’.

For £70,000 plus benefits, applicants must be “highly discreet” and “able to travel worldwide”, and will have to “drive his Bentley, housekeep” and provide “wardrobe care and prepare light snacks”.

“You and one other will work together to . . . iron, wash designer clothes, pack and unpack, chauffeur internationally and be happy to serve at parties plus prep simple meals.”

While the role is based in Mayfair, London, the ad states that the unidentified racer only spends 90 days in the capital, with the rest of his time spent jet-setting around the globe.

For anyone thinking of applying (and who wouldn’t) the job does call for some pretty high level qualifications, including experience being a “housekeeper”, having an “understanding” of what it means to put together a “designer wardrobe” and being willing to “commit, be capable and willing to serve”.

On top of this, applicants need chauffeur experience too, as the job will require you to have “experience of driving abroad”.

And “the manners required” to do things like “opening doors, keeping the cars immaculate and being race side when he is on the track.”
