Manchester Airport is one of 12 airports across the UK where Jet2 passengers due to fly out before midday can check-in and drop off their luggage the night before, the airline has confirmed.

Jet2 provides a twilight check-in service at selected UK airports, which enables passengers to save time on their departure day. Passengers must arrive at least two hours prior to their flight to collect their boarding passes and drop off their luggage.

But the twilight check-in rule means that passengers can sidestep this inconvenience, making their departure day much less stressful. It allows passengers to save precious time by heading straight to security, while also helping them avoid lengthy check-in queues to drop off their bags.

The twilight check-in service is only available to passengers with flights scheduled to depart before midday from one of 12 UK airports. If you have an eligible flight, you can utilise the free twilight service within a four and a half hour window the evening before your morning flight and drop your bags off between 4.30pm and 9pm, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Passengers must also check-in for flights online any time from 28 days and no later than 24 hours before your flight via Jet2’s website or app. Jet2 explained how the service operates by saying: “Check in online.

“You need to do this no later than 24 hours before your flight, but to make sure you don’t miss out, we recommend you check in as soon as online check-in opens, 28 days before you travel. Drop your bags at the airport.
