‘Extraordinary’ Noah’s Ark discovery as ‘man-made structure’ discovered beneath floor
Researchers who believe they have found the 4,300-year-old vessel’s resting place in Turkey claim radar scans have revealed a vast man‑made structure below the surface
The research team investigating the site they believe to be the resting place of Noah’s Ark in Turkey claim to have made an “extraordinary” discovery.
A group called Noah’s Ark Scans says it has uncovered the strongest evidence yet that a man‑made structure is buried beneath the Durupınar Formation, a 515‑foot boat‑shaped mound near the Mountains of Ararat.
In a dramatic “world‑shaking” statement, the organisation declared the formation is “100% NOT geological” – after bringing in a veteran US defence scientist to run radar scans across the site.
The scientist, Dr. Khosrow Bakhtar, is described as an ARSM, PE, Ph.D. mining/rock‑mechanics engineer and electromagnetics specialist with 40+ years’ experience in geomechanics, tunnelling, low‑power RF/microwave sensors and subsurface detection.
The group says he managed 25–35+ US Department of Defense projects as programme manager and principal investigator for the Air Force, Navy and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and has written over 200 papers.
Noah’s Ark Scans claims Bakhtar used a proprietary imaging system dubbed “BakhtarRadar”, which it says can mask all geological features – making “rocks, dirt, and anything geological completely invisible”.
Dr. Bakhtar is quoted saying: “If it were geological, we would not have seen it at all!” as per the Noah’s Ark Scans Instagram page. According to the group, his preliminary report “confirms” the Durupınar Formation is not a natural structure at all.
And they claim an “extraordinary and massive object” lies below, showing organised patterns, right‑angle intersections, plus what are described as corridors, chambers and layered segments. They say he believes the structure could be a ship – or even a space shuttle.
The announcement comes as an international expedition – jointly authorised by the Turkish government – began work last month, led by Prof. Dr. Cenker Atila of Sivas Cumhuriyet University alongside Noah’s Ark Scans founder Andrew Jones, Daily Sabah reported. The team has begun physical core drilling and advanced radar imaging, and says lab testing of core and soil samples is now underway.
The group insists: “It’s all real. The Bible is real. The Ark is real.” In a previous post on Instagram, Noah’s Ark Scans have revealed the next step in their plan is to prove their theory, the Daily Star previously reported.
The plans revolve around examining the material that has formed over what they believe to be the ark, as they reckon this could give vital clues into when and how the protrusion was formed.
Nevertheless, mainstream scientists have long been sceptical, with many geologists describing Durupınar as a natural formation – and experts say any extraordinary claim will depend on what the lab results show.
