Winter Wonderland chaos as footage reveals punches, screams and revellers hurled to flooring

No punches were pulled during a Christmas Eve brawl at London’s Winter Wonderland, which saw two violent clashes recorded on camera after a winter of discontent at the annual attraction

Shocking footage captured the moment two rival groups brawled at London’s Winter Wonderland in the latest violent scenes at the annual attraction.

Social media clips show punches being thrown, bins being overturned and women screaming ‘stop it’ at the entrance to the Hyde Park event on Christmas Eve.

Two men are seen squaring up to each other then fighting over an unknown dispute before as stunned revellers look on in horror.

Security in high visibility jackets try to stop them clashing, but it descends to chaos as other men join the melee. Soon, revellers are pushed to the floor as staff struggle to contain the situation.

A man dressed in all black, who appears to be bleeding from his nose, can be seen getting held back by a woman with blonde hair. Several groups of men continue to brawl as overstretched security guards struggle to keep the crowds apart.

Women can be heard screaming amid the chaos as the violence continues and a bin is tipped over. Guests are seen running out of the way to flee the chaos and one can be heard screaming: “Please, no more drama.”

One brave security guard attempts to move some temporary fencing to block off the group of fighting revellers as a crowd swarms the violent scene with their cameras out on Christmas Eve.

Another clip from the same night showed youths fighting with punches, kicks and slaps. Aggressive youths at the event are seen tearing down barriers, punching and grabbing each other.

At least one person is kicked in the head during the second melee, which saw cops deploy a taser to bring the violent clash to an end. At the end of the video, the man recording it is heard saying: “Welcome to Winter Wonderland.”

The footage was shared on social media, where one user quipped: “Would it be Christmas without a punch up at Winter Wonderland?” Another added: “UFC 2025: Winter Wonderland edition.”

A spokesman for Hyde Park Winter Wonderland said the incident had been “managed promptly by on-site security, with police present”. They added: “There was no impact on the wider event and no serious injuries reported.”

The Winter Wonderland has been criticised as overcrowded and overpriced and has previously been dubbed Europe‘s most complained-about festive attraction.
