Trump threatens ‘all-out war’ with Iran as fears of WW3 soar after anti-US AI propaganda
Tensions in the Middle East have soared as President Donald Trump considers launching a “fully fledged war” against Iran, following a dramatic US military buildup
Tensions in the Middle East have reached fever pitch as US President Donald Trump weighs launching a “fully fledged war” against Iran. Iran has shared a provocative propaganda video threatening to bomb a major US military installation.
The video, however, was generated with artificial intelligence (AI). Nevertheless, it was broadcast on Iranian state TV.
The clip singles out the Muwaffaq Salti airbase in Jordan for destruction. The base, situated near the Syrian border, recently saw the arrival of at least 60 US military aircraft.
This represents triple the usual number, according to satellite images reported by the New York Times. The footage opens with sweeping aerial shots of the airbase.
It then reportedly shows Iranian missiles targeting F-35 stealth fighters, KC-135 refueling planes, and MQ-9 Reaper drones, all set to dramatic video game-style music. The video concludes abruptly with an Iranian fighter jet flying overhead, and was shared by state channel Al-Alam as Trump’s military buildup in the region intensifies.
Amid these developments, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a stern warning, declaring Iran “will not bow its head” to American demands for a nuclear agreement, The Sun reported. In the past week, at least 68 cargo planes have reportedly also landed at Muwaffaq Salti, as part of a new defense pact, fueling fears of a broader regional conflict.
Trump, who has hinted at striking the Iranian regime, is reportedly weighing a “massive, weeks-long campaign” that would amount to a “fully fledged war”, as per The Sun. The Middle East is currently facing a high-stakes standoff between the US and Iran, with tensions escalating following a 10-to-15-day deadline set by Trump for Iran to agree to a new nuclear deal.
This development comes in the wake of significant US and Israeli strikes in June 2025, which reportedly destroyed much of Iran’s nuclear manufacturing infrastructure. In response to the crisis, the US’ undertaking of the major military buildup in the region has come as the largest since the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
Iran has responded to this show of force with its own military displays, including maritime drills in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, in addition to the provocative AI-generated video.
These events are unfolding as Iran grapples with severe economic collapse and ongoing internal unrest, with reports of over 7,000 deaths in anti-government protests since late 2025. Despite the military posturing, a final diplomatic window remains open.
The US and Iran are scheduled to hold another round of nuclear negotiations in Geneva on Thursday (February 26). Iran has suggested it may be willing to export part of its highly enriched uranium stockpile or dilute its purity, provided its right to “peaceful nuclear enrichment” is formally recognised.
However, President Trump has demanded a “meaningful deal” that would prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons or the capacity to develop them, and has publicly weighed military options ranging from limited strikes to a “weeks-long campaign” aimed at weakening Iran’s leadership. As the deadline approaches, the world watches closely, with hopes that diplomacy will prevail and prevent a wider conflict in the region.
