Jesus’ Easter resurrection thriller intensifies as research reveals ‘proof’ of return from loss of life

A bombshell new study has pointed to ‘evidence’ that supports the claim Jesus came back from the dead after his crucifixion, despite the study’s claims skeptics have issues with its conclusion

Whether Jesus really did resurrect from the dead on Easter Sunday is a question scientists have tried to get to the bottom or debunk for almost two thousand years.

However in a new study looking at four key pieces of evidence used to challenge the notion the son of God resurrected from the dead on Easter Sunday one expert has come to a bombshell conclusion. Penning the recent study, Pearl Bipin, an engineer with the National Institute of Technology in Goa, India, pinpointed four key pieces of evidence used in theories surrounding Jesus’ resurrection.

The numerous pieces of evidence being Jesus’ empty tomb, the reported appearances of Jesus after his death, the sudden transformation of his followers and the conversion of former skeptics surround the story of Jesus’ resurrection. The new study claims historical examination supports accounts of an empty tomb and also backed-up accounts the appearances of Jesus after his death.

The report argued these incidents featured in numerous early sources and were documented shortly after Jesus’ death on the cross. According to Bipin’s research these references alongside other historical records, create what he calls a “framework of certainty.”

The author has said this framework makes it clear Jesus existed, was put to death and sparked a movement which continued expanding following his demise.

The study explained non-Christian sources were also important due to being written decades following the crucifixion by writers who weren’t disciples of Jesus. This meant their testimonies are regarded by historians as independent verification rather than religious evidence.

Psychological theories, including hallucination or conspiracy explanations, were also analysed and deemed inadequate to account for the numerous sighting of Jesus after hid death on the cross.

Using philosophical logic and legal-standard evidence criteria, including probability modelling, the study determined the resurrection remains the most logical explanation and should be regarded as a genuine historical possibility. Beyond historical documents the research examined forensic medicine to investigate whether Jesus might have survived crucifixion, a hypothesis sometimes known as the “Swoon Theory.”

Bipin said: “Conversely, the resurrection hypothesis, when situated within a theistic philosophical framework supported by arguments from consciousness and modern verification of miracles, emerges not merely as a possibility, but as the most coherent and probable explanation for the rise of the Christian faith.”

According to Bipin, the findings further backed the argument Jesus did not simply lose consciousness or slip into a temporary coma, but perished as a consequence of the crucifixion.

The study said: “If Jesus had swooned and appeared to the disciples, he would have looked like a man half-dead, desperately in need of medical attention,”

“As David Strauss, a German liberal Protestant theologian, noted in the 1800s, such a figure could not possibly have inspired the disciples to proclaim him the ‘Prince of Life’ and the conqueror of death. His survival would have elicited pity, not worship.”

When elements such as historical records, eyewitness accounts and the sudden emergence of Christianity are taken into account, the resurrection hypothesis is described as having strong explanatory power compared with alternative theories, according to the study. Bipin stated this does not automatically prove a miracle, but suggested the resurrection remains a plausible explanation for the available data.

Sceptics have pointed out that many of the arguments put forward rely heavily on interpretations of ancient texts instead of modern physical evidence. Others warn historical reasoning alone cannot definitively verify supernatural events and have said the ultimate conclusion open to interpretation.
