‘He has a beautiful profile for the Chester Cup’ – Jason Heavey’s racing suggestions

The Daily Star tipster has gone for an Irish-trained horse to plunder the pot in the big race at Chester on Friday while his nap is an improving filly at Ascot

PUNTERS may be applauding PUTURHANDSTOGETHER (3.05) after the Ladbrokes Chester Cup on Friday.

Joseph O’Brien’s five-year-old has a varied CV and among his four victories are the Fred Winter at the Cheltenham Festival over hurdles and the Irish Cesarewitch.

He has a lovely profile for this famous old staying handicap and the only negative is that he is drawn widest of the 17 runners.

But he has the assistance of the brilliant Billy Loughnane who will have to stick or twist when the stalls open. His 11-1 odds will do for me.

There are dangers at every turn including the in-form Team Player and Berkshire Sundance who are both each-way shouts.

Last year’s Derby hero LAMBOURN (2.35) reappears in the Deepbridge Huxley Stakes.

He won the Chester Vase 12 months ago en route to Epsom glory and is fancied to make a winning start for Aidan O’Brien.

CLOUDS HILL (1.30, nb) gets the vote in the CAA Stellar Great Cheshire Handicap that kicks off the card.

Charlie Johnston’s runner made all to win at Yarmouth eight days ago with lots in hand and Jason Hart will be eager to bag the lead from stall nine.

GLORY OF THE SEAS (2.05) has shown enough in two races to suggest he will win races and looks a bit of value at 9-2 against hotpot Joulany in the Boodles Darley EBF Maiden Stakes.

Course form is a big advantage on the Roodee and MIRACULOUS (3.40) tends to save his best for the tight turning track.

Tim Easterby’s four-year-old will be fitter for his recent spin at Catterick and is nicely handicapped from a reasonable draw. The ITV cameras are also at Ascot for one race and ALBAYDAA (1.50, nap) is a confident pick to win the Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% Handicap.

William Haggas’ filly posted a fine third at Newmarket behind Sovereign Spell where she stayed on strongly.

The handicapper has surprisingly left her alone and Tom Marquand can get the job done over an extra furlong.

Richard Hughes (above) said earlier in the week that BINT ARCHANGE (2.20) should win the fillies’ maiden while NAVAL TRIBUTE (5.10, trb) is a strong fancy in the last race.
