Sarah Ferguson slammed with a scathing three phrase nickname in Royal circles
Sarah Ferguson is reportedly being derided as a ‘high-society grifter’ as her bond with ex-husband Prince Andrew fractures after the Jeffrey Epstein fallout, leaving her living a ‘nomadic’ life
Sarah Ferguson has reportedly been given a harsh identity by detractors in royal-adjacent circles. As her once notably close relationship with former Prince Andrew is said to be unravelling in the shadow of their shared Jeffrey Epstein controversy, Fergie has been bouncing between friends’ properties and luxury retreats, far removed from royal routine.
The 66-year-old and her ex-husband Andrew Windsor maintained an unusually tight bond for decades after their 1996 divorce.
In 2008, Ferguson returned to live with her ex-husband at Royal Lodge in Windsor, and the pair continued sharing the 31-room, with Ferguson previously calling them “the happiest divorced couple in the world”.
However, sources now reportedly claim that while their unconventional set-up withstood years of scandal, ridicule and money worries, the fallout from scrutiny over Andrew’s friendship with convicted sex offender Epstein has shifted the dynamic for good. Fergie has consequently been branded a “high-society grifter”.
Friends of Ferguson say she is now living a “nomadic” lifestyle, moving between contacts in Ireland, Dubai and the United States, as well as a luxury Alpine resort, and leaning on an ever-shrinking group of supportive friends, Radar Online reported. One source close to the pair said Ferguson has become increasingly isolated as the scandal dominated their lives and eroded the stability they once shared.
According to Radar Online, the insider said: “Sarah spent years standing loyally beside Andrew while almost everyone else distanced themselves from him. She defended him privately, remained at Royal Lodge, and genuinely believed they would continue facing the fallout together no matter how bad things became.
“But over time, the pressure, humiliation, and social exile surrounding the Epstein scandal changed the dynamic between them.”
Another royal insider claimed: “There are people within elite social circles who now cruelly refer to Sarah as a ‘high-society grifter’ because she’s effectively moving from place to place depending on wealthy friends for support.
“She’s basically living the life of an upmarket con-woman, on the run.
“She hates that perception because she always saw herself as part of a royal partnership, not someone surviving on favors and temporary arrangements.”
The source reportedly added: “Sarah genuinely thought there was an understanding between them that, despite everything, they would continue protecting one another privately as they always had after the divorce.
“Instead, she feels she was left carrying much of the emotional and social damage alone while Andrew quietly disappeared back under royal protection.”
It is noted that association withJeffrey Epstein is not an indication of any wrongdoing.
