Spanish outlet Diario AS claims Real Madrid midfielder Tchouameni is on United’s radar and club officials will soon jet off to the Spanish capital to discuss a possible transfer.
However, the deal is not expected to be straightforward. The publication adds any player sales Madrid approve this summer will each surpass £85million.
This implies that if United are keen on securing the French star, they will have to fork out a substantial sum. The player’s personal ambitions could also pose a potential obstacle.
It’s believed Tchouameni wishes to stay at the Bernabeu. However, AS highlights recent transfer dealings between the two clubs that could potentially facilitate any agreement.
In 2021, Raphael Varane transferred from Spain to Manchester and a year later, Casemiro followed suit.
The report suggests this positive rapport ensures both United and Real Madrid remain in sync regarding transfers.
Rafael Leao hijack verdict
United are also scouring the market for a new winger and reports suggest AC Milan and Portugal sensation Rafael Leao has been proposed to them by his agent.
