All the occasions teammates got here to blows with one another on the pitch after Liverpool bust-up
Liverpool players were involved in a furious confrontation with each other on the pitch after their win over Wrexham in New York. Curtis Jones had a heated altercation with Dominik Szoboszlai and Kostas Tsimikas after their 1-0 win in the pre-season friendly on Thursday (July 30).
As they walked across the pitch to the fans, they argued with each other, seemingly over the captain’s armband. A video clip showed Tsmikas throw the captain’s armband on the floor in front of fans, with Jones and Szoboszlai waving their arms in the air.
But it’s not the first time teammates have scrapped with each other, much to the bemusement of onlookers. Here’s a look at some of the most memorable examples over the years.

Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer
Probably the most iconic case when Newcastle took on Aston Villa in the Premier League with the Magpies 3-0 down. While the game was literally going on around them, Bowyer and Dyer traded blows in astonishing scenes that needed Gareth Barry to break them up.
Both were sent off and handed four-month bans but it appeared all was well when the two were teammates again at West Ham later in their careers.
Graeme Le Saux and David Batty

On a freezing cold night, Blackburn took on Spartak Moscow in the Champions League when Le Saux and Batty had at it. It had been a miserable European run where they had failed to win a single game in the group stage and the tensions came to a head with both players losing their cool.
“Before the match I told my players they will be playing against 11 guys ready to fight for each other for 90 minutes… not with each other,” Spartak coach Oleg Romantsev said.
Danny Drinkwater and Jota
On loan from Chelsea, Drinkwater made more of an impression off the pitch at Villa than on it during his short stint when he headbutted team-mate Jota Peleteiro in training.
It was a turbulent season for the Blues outcast, who had his loan at Burnley cancelled just weeks before after being involved in a nightclub scrap.
And Drinkwater, currently at Championship strugglers Reading, has not played in the Premier League since, though he did receive a red card for Chelsea’s Under-23s when he kicked out at Tottenham youngster Alfie Devine.
Freddie Ljungberg and Olof Mellberg

The two Premier League legends in the heyday may not be the best of friends off the pitch, as showcased during training for Sweden.
In preparation for the 2002 World Cup, the Scandinavian country let the cameras in to watch them get ready for the showcase event. Butnwhat they caught would be immortalised in a hilarious coming-together. Indeed, all that was missing from the bizarre scene were the cartoon noises.
Alexsandar Mitrovic and Aboubakar Kamara
Tension was already boiling between the two former Fulham forwards after Kamara stole the ball off Mitrovic for a penalty – only to completely mess it up. With the Cottagers facing relegation and Claudio Ranieri desperate to cool off his players, he scheduled a yoga session.
But at a time when the players were meant to be full of tranquility and serenity, it ended in the two strikers being pulled apart by their teammates after shouting at each other.

“It’s an absolute embarrassment,” Simon Grayson said, the Leeds United manager at the time, when Beckford and Doyle clashed on the pitch.
In truth, it was more bizarre than anything while the Whites were trailing to Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough. Both players received red cards for their actions as the Owls fans gleefully applauded.
Patrik Gunnarsson and David Brekalo

One bonkers brawl saw a player dive in order to get his old buddy sent off. Viking goalkeeper Gunnarsson feigned injury after being pushed by his defender Brekalo which led to the Icelandic star hitting the deck holding his face.
The referee produced a red card as Brekalo looked on in shock in one of the most bizarre incidents in footballing history.
Hugo Lloris and Heung-min Son

Emotions erupted at half-time at Tottenham when Lloris came barreling over to have one out with his teammate Son, who looked perplexed.
Right before the whistle, the Frenchman was forced into a save and his frustration was still boiling over when the teams descended into the tunnel as he tried to take the South Koreans head off and being restrained by his teammates.
The arguments continued into the dressing room while the Amazon Prime cameras were rolling, as everything was being documented on the All of Nothing show.
